Stories are stupid. Rewards aren't.

I can't tell if thats sarcasm or not. If it is, pretend I'm quoting someone who isn't using sarcasm.

Does anyone honestly believe that doing stuff like this prevents SE from doing anything else? It's not like "Hey Mr. Programmer, you stop that and write us a story. Also Sage Sundi, stop going to SE events and draw us some pictures to go along with it". I really doubt this online article did anything to their budgit even. The the story itself couldn't have taken more of a month of side-effort of planning and writing, more likely a week worth of effort, and the pictures don't look be worth much more effort(not to say they were bad, simply not insanely expensive).

You could complain the story was lame, only if you'd ever enjoy a story by SE and this one was especially not to your liking(otherwise, you are just complaining to be heard). However, it seems people are doing their best to add some kind of negative trait to this little story. They are trying to find something to complain about, so they bring up the completely unrelated problems of FFXI.

Stop being a bunch of Flux'es. This is only a potentially good thing and not a bad thing. It didn't take anything way from anyone who didn't care to notice it existed. It just gave something to the event for people who potentially cared without costing almost anything(don't use that lol-lowlevels bullshit, most lowlevels do their best to be elitist and only care about leveling, its an even split of morons low and high level, videogame knowledge doesn't prevent someone from being a complete retard).

Oh and who the hell does events for Ridils. Doesn't everyone want progression, not hand-me-outs?

If my reward for doing some fun 1-party mission battles is getting to see things like "Shantotto pwns Aht Urghan", gimme more treasure. So far, it's better done storywise than Zilart through DM has been, though that's sure as heck been satisfying so far.
