Extremely sadly, my friend Ben (in the white tank top) was going as Bruno. Yes, his costume is that bad. It's unfortunate because he's really good at the character (all night he was saying "It's Santa Barbara, where all the boys come to be GAY!"). I, on the other hand, could've pulled off the Bruno look (believe it or not that hair makes a fabulous faux-hawk) but the Verizon guy was too good to pass up.
lol I just thought the same exact thing as I saw that pic.Originally Posted by Res
Funny thing is a friends wife went to a costume party this halloween and said 3 guys came dressed as all 3, and one guy at the party was like; "Why didn't the gay guy wear a costume?" XD
The fact that someone went as Dark Helmet is the best part of this picture.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane

I love how he's still 'acting' out his character and such its funny to see. lol
To be honest at first I thought Ali G was not funny at all and I couldn't stand him. After watching the show a few times it kinda grew on me and I actually enjoy his humor now. I will hopefully be seeing this tonight myself.
Man, I remember when Ali G was interviewing the bomb-dog trainers. Holy shit that was funny.
I remember those adverts Ali G did with some sports channel people, those were gold.
As for the country suing him, they were going too but didn't they instead invite him to their country saying it was a lovely place.
if you can't beat them, join them
This movie looks hysterical, and is getting stellar reviews. I've heard some audio clips, and when Borat compares his wife's "vagine" to a "wizard's sleeve".... I just about lost myself. I can't fucking wait to see this tomorrow.
He's being sued by a group of German Gypsies for offensive remarks in the movie made against them.

My campus newpaper today had some excerpts of a few of the Anti-semitic jokes that are throughout the movie, and wow, it's a good thing most Jewish people have a decent sense of humor about that kind of stuff now, because some of them are really bad (one in a gunstore in particular)
Hes jewish. He can get away with pretty much any jewish joke.Originally Posted by Krandor

I know he's Jewish, but irregardless some of them are quite bad <.<
That's the whole point really. In reality, if you can't not take Borat(well all of Ali G) seriously, then you are the joke in the end.Originally Posted by Krandor
Borat looks alright, but I'm more excited about his Bruno movie.
I think I heard from like E! News that he refuses to do interviews about Borat unless he's in character..? Seems pretty funny to me :DOriginally Posted by Insanelol
John Steward interviewed him just now. Omg, I laughed so hard to his reaction when Steward told him he was a jew.
The local theater here didn't anticipate how popular the movie was going to be, sold out all showings on 2 screens. Like someone actually wanted to see Santa Clause 3, that should be a straight to DVD release by now.
I felt like Borat was making fun of America more than Kazakhstan really. Most of the parts I laughed at were at how stupid the oblivious Americans can be.
Anyway, yeah it was more offensive than I expected, in ways that caused me to shield my eyes for an extended period of time >_>; don't ask, you'll just have to see for yourself...
Overall there were a lot of gold parts that were just completely hilarious, which made up for the parts of the movie that I didn't like. ( trying not to spoils stuff in this vague demi-review lol )
Yeah, I get that impression as well.Originally Posted by theo
