Who and what weapon?

i used gladius up until i got 3 deathbringers, now i'm using all three chars with deathbringer/goldshield,gold, gaia hat, gold armor, gold armlet with vaan as my main healer/dd, basch as main tank and baltheir as my other dd/some support magic.

In reference to the guy saying he uses all chars, my mains are all 3 lvl 42, fran is lvl 12 and penelo/ashe lvl 19. i don't plan on using them at all cause the game is easy enough for 3 people.

later since they still get Lp, and i can equip them with the best stuff, i'm going to bring them somewhere they can kill really fast, and lvl about 20-30 times in a few hours.

All my characters are around level 25, Balthier is at 24 because for some reason he's miles behind everyone else. It's nice having everyone at the same level but it's tedious maintaining it. Also, one of my parties feels weaker than the other because it doesn't have a tank type. So I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe, Basch Penelo and Balthier for one party and Ashe, Fran Vaan for the other party? (Basch Vaan are tanks, Penelo Ashe are healers and Fran Balthier are support magic/DD?)

Every town I go to I check the weapons shop to see how close the weapons are progressing until I'll eventually have to let my beloved DB go, but I just got to the Balfonheim place, and the highest weapon attack I've seen from vendor was like... 80, and no On Hit: KO proc.

I don't use Balth (SPOILER Master Fframner or whatever?! wtf? SPOILER) or Fran anymore. If I see a flying mob, I just flee past it until it loses aggro. If there is a flying boss ahead of me in the game... well, I'm pretty fucked. =P

As for accessories, I have 6 Golden Amulets, and 3 double exp things. I use the amulets on Balth/Fran (switching the other 4 when I need a 70+ LP license thing and I don't feel like farming 70+ mobs =P), and double exp on the other 4. I guess I'd rather get higher level quicker than all my fancy armor/spells. Currently trying to farm enough money for the Balfonheim vendor spells and Diamond+ armor for everyone (hi2u70k?). I found Diamond armor helped a LOT when fighting the mobs before and including SPOILER Cid SPOILER.

I guess that's one way to do it if you want :D Just level 3 for now and then in the end level the rest when you have the best armor and stuff. Would save on buying gear for 6 people really. I just like to use them all at times though ;p Just curious where are you at in the game? All my char. are level 39-40 and I'm at Phon Coast right now.

I don't have people using specific weapons so much as having sets of characters moving in different directions on the liscense board. Vaan and Balthier doing light weapons (mostly guns/daggers/poles so far, heading up and to the left), Fran and Basch on heavy weapons (mostly spears/swords/bows, moving right and down), and Ashe and Penelo working on the magey weapons (staves/rods/maces, down-left).

And honestly I get so much LP I could still get any character to just about any buyable weapon at the point I'm at.

penelo sword/shield (yeah i didnt know her str sucked so w/e)

oh right i dont even use the other 3, my main chars are around 62ish while the rest are still at 13-14 lol :/ (they only got that high from sneaking in to phoenix down some of my dead chars sometimes )

basically i dont melee at all with ashe, i use her as leader just to run around and stay away from mobs while penelo and vaan assrape everything(usually both berserked, if i come accross an NM or boss, i just dispelga and turn the gambit off). Due to the retardedness of this games liscense system, they always pretty much have infinite mana (gain assloads whenever they hit, and whenever they get hit), on any boss, i just alternate spam cures with them, while ashe curaga's anyone that gets under 70-80% (lower if im farming pussy mobs) Kinda sad that melee are better healers than actual mages (can just spam curaja, they always get the mana back fast enough) ;/

It's worked extremely well, with ashe in back healing for 6-9K and never running out of mana (thank god for charge, saved my ass on gilgamesh

Ive tried other combos, but giving up shield makes me sad face. Especially since they're both usually berserk i just let them go at it, and its not like the damage is gimp

Level 11 Fran -> Volcano/stunbomb cause I don't have sagit-bow yet
Level 92 Basch -> Zodiac Spear
Level 92 Ashe -> Masamune
Level 12 Penelo -> Grand Mace/Aegis-Demon shield

I'm not spending any gil on non-ultimate weapons for my backup lol Currently farming for the best dagger to use on Vaan, going to get Sagi bow for Fran and best rod/staff for Penelo. As well as give Basch the Tournesol instead of spear. Without bravery/berserk I hit 9999 often on him, 7 more levels and I'm sure Tournesol will pretty much do the same.

Do crossbows have a low accuracy or does Balthier on my file just suck? He misses shots so many times. Even on the lowest of the low level wolves in the Westersand I killed while going to kill Ring Wyrm. I wanna put him back on guns and another backup weapon style.

Ive noticed that too, Xbow misses like CRAZY, its so annoying, bow is way better imo, or gun i suppose, but i dont like the low dmg on gun ._.

I haven't seen a lot of issues with xbow in my game, at SoM at 37 with penello using recurve and long bolts. the AE: slow on long bolts is really nice :D

Have noticed she's not doing much damage though, oh well.

Basch - Fucking Javelin ... when the hell do I get a new spear?

I just finished the fight with Ghis on the Leviathan. I am going to Teleport back to Rabanastre I think to try and get a couple Gladius for Vaan and Penelo, and I think Ashe is going to be my sword user.
Is there something bad with using Balthier as my bow user instead of Fran?
As far as getting 5 of the best weapon, Deathbringer, Gladius, etc, it might be the best thing to do, but it would be less fun I think.
btw, Deathbringer is the sword I get from that quest with the Barheim key that Helpoemer posted so long ago right? Or am I thinking of something else.

Those are my main 3, currently at level 57. Penelo is 17, Vaan 16, Balthier lol9. Trying to farm some of the items for the Tournesoul and refusing to beat the game until I've beaten Omega and Yazathingy.

Is anyone close to having or have the Wyrm-Hero Blade?(don't think that's the right name)
