Fucking Crocadile (Your favorite hunts)

Gonna have to go with Crocadile, in my short hunting experience. Hes a Rank 2 in the Giza Plains, he eats up my level 16 party pretty quickly.

I keep trying to zerg him down, but cant get the job done. I get everyone to full MP and go all out. Best attempt so far was when I started off with a 9000+ Caticlism right off the bat before it got angelsong up. Took it to about half life. Then I switched in Ashe and summoned the first esper asap (trying to keep this spoilerless). He took it down to about 1/6 of its life, failed to get hellfire off before he died though. I had planned to pop an ether before he pummeled me and summon again, but he did some move called "Increasing threat" or something, and it gave a message that his level had doubled? Then he followed that up with a renew and was at full life again -.-

Definately having a blast trying to take him down at this, im assuming, premature level(?????). Basically im just trying to start off with the best quickening chain I can, though I havent topped that first caticlism yet. Good times, especially since all hunts up to this point have been total pushovers. Doubt im gonna be able to pull this off though.

cluckatrice raped my lv 16 pt.

i would have to say my favorite hunt would have to be nidhogg thus far. i havent done much hunts though.

Ah, I cant do Cluckatrice yet because its raining in the plains ;x Accepted all the MontBlanc hunts I could in one swoop last trip. Didnt know he gave them/rank upgrades until I returned from KRT and stopped by.

I killed it when my pt was in the low 20's before the plains started raining. Inferno did like 425 to it :/

Still haven't figured out Cataclysm yet.

Inferno is a combo of 3+, and I got cataclysm with 7. 5 was still inferno, never got 6 or higher then 7.

Nidhogg was pretty cool, just having the name he did....
oh and him going psycho mode on me in last 10%.......was pretty funny, although almost died trying to finish him off, crazy.

So far Ring Wyrm is pretty cool mob, although was pretty insane for my lvl 23 party, waiting til like 28-30 and ill try again lol.

Cluckatrice was a little bitch....took me like 3 tries, waited til i was like 19-20 i think, and still he was a pain.

Wyvern lord also cool as hell, although a joke even at level 21 when u equip everyone with bows....

try doing wyvern lord with only 1 person with a ranged weapon at level 19, it was hella interesting lmao

Cluckatrice was a pain in the ass without Decoy.

I haven't done many hunts yet, just the Rank 1 hunts >.>

I tried Cluckatrice a while ago, and it petrified my entire pt so I had to run/die because at that point I didnt have Esuna, and now it's raining in Giza so I can't go back to it right now.

I did crocadile, and that wasn't that bad. I actually thought Nidhogg was annoying, and the one that they ask you to do in Jahara.

My favorite would be Carbo, hands down so far. Aspid is my favorite HNM in FFXI, and there was like...Aspid, and then it turned into a BABY Aspid and it was sooooooooooo cute!!! <333

So far I've much enjoyed this Rocktoise feller. He has been the biggest challenge for me that I have done in any game in a long time.

And on that note, what would be a good level suggestion to tackle Rocktoise at? For the last 3 days I haven't progressed with the story line, because I've been trying to finish off Rocktoise The best I've done thus far is got him to about 30% before he goes nuts on me. My last attempt before more grinding, I had my entire party at level 18.

Honestly, I'm loving how epic nearly every boss battle and hunt are. So. Fucking. Awesome.

Rocktoise should be doable at 22ish unless you suck. If your liscences and gambits suck you're fucked.

i've done past rocktoise and cluckatrice, did croakatile too, he wasn't bad when i was lvl 25, just melee'd him to death with gladius.

Anyone do gil snapper? i haven't been able to find him yet and i've been walkin around giza rains all over.

I just beat Rocktoise with Balthier level 10, Fran level 14 and Basch level 15 >.>

Secret to winning: 2x /ra's Basch was only other person with Charge at the time so I made him healer lol He won't leave that open area so I stood on the side and /ra'd him. I was getting smashed doing it straight up and didn't feel like lvling up a few times so had to use a new strat.

Feral retriever used a move that KO'd my 2 characters that were in melee range. I never saw the name of it or how much dmg it did unfortunetly. I was too busy staring at his huge head

i killed rocktoise at lv12. just need to kite and use arrows/spells. had taken me about 20mins or so. felt good though XD
