You are not factoring that there isn't just one way brains are built, that an animal's intelligence can be considered very abstract. You also got to consider the environment which both species are born into. One is filled with complex education designed perfectly so it will be remembered and used while the other is the complete wild. If you raise a human in such a way that he learns nothing but the wild, he would be far less smarter than someone raised in our current society.

I not saying dolphins are nearly as smart as Humans(or at least, an average adult Human), but the distance is a lot closer than you tend to believe. Most of what you are saying, with language and religion, is situational. Dolphins do have their own language, of the sorts, thousands of words expansive, with names for each other and everything. Far more complex than a growl or cry.

The two parts are very connected. There is no advantage at all from killing Dolphins for food. On no grounds is it morally acceptable. This is unlike some cases of normally unmoral things, where the situation calls for it. One example could be killing someone(s) to prevent the spreading of a disease that could cause the death of billions. So, you know the fact that Dolphin meat is actually dangerous to the point that it doesn't even make a lot of money, it doesn't really do any good. This just leaves the first part.

How is it morally acceptable? Is it you have no morals or is there something I'm missing? It's obvious that humans would take importance, so in such a conversation saying that killing a dolphin is the same as killing a 10 year old would probably only upset one side. But, what makes that 10 year old child so special? He is human, right? What makes him human? His intelligence and feelings? Well a dolphin has something very close to that.

If i may, having intelligence and feelings does not make one human, humans do posses intelligence and feelings, but it does not make them human. You call a person a human if he has the right fucking DNA sequence. Case in point? Sadam Hussein, has no feelings, George Bush, not intellegent(lolanti-rep joke), yet these cumsuckers are still human.

Fear is a emotion, so i supose thats a exageration on my part, however I think there are human beings who are in fact unable to have emotions, i supose i could look it up. But my point still stands, a being who is intellegent, is a intellegent being, a being with feelings, is a being with well... feelings, it does not make you human.
