y dont u guys try the NPC in the Lower jueno Magic shop or one of the Shops on top of the AH There is a NPC that can make u Forget all your AF quest for Jeuno u should be able to do the Same for CoP CS.

As for the GMs saying you can get stuff back.. GMs dont know shit about ffxi really..

if you want a full list of all lost items well.....
Byakkos Haidate, Genbu's Kabuto, Walahara Turban, Tavnazian Ring, Rajas Ring, Fighters Calligae+1, Melee feet(forget the name), Fighters Cuisses, WAR AF hands, WAR relic hands, Byakkos Axe, Destroyers, aprox. 85 KS, approx 45 BS, Moldavite Earring. There are a few others im still forgetting. The only thing i STILL had was my Stars Cap, which i wore while logging out. So yeah, the only things i cant really get back are the byakko stuff(not paying a single gil to RMTers) and apparently rajas ring. It would have been nice if they would have reset my character info on COP or something, to at least let me request it.

Everytime I quite my Haidate is lost as well.

For those who have taken breaks before how common is it to have lost items? I am looking to reactivate one of my accounts tomorrow that's been dead for 6 months and I don't want to do it if I'm going to find things like my cop ring missing etc.

A few months back I dropped my tav ring, I called a GM they told me there are things in place to retrive items that have been lost, however would not tell me how.

They've said that for a long time. Sure would be nice to spit out some details...

Maybe I'll go add this to the upcoming questions interview. We got the Goblin Drink out of em that way...can't hurt.

Yes. I had a friend that took a break for a long time (had a baby) and when they returned they were missing pretty much everything that wasn't equipt when they left.

During this last maintenence, I had to phone the helpdesk. I changed my PW info, but for some reason it wasnt working properly. Well, after it got sorted out, they asked if there was anything else they could help me with. So, i told them this story, and the guy had to speak to his supervisor. They said very specifically, that the rings can be replaced, infact all my lost gear could be replaced. I would have to redo certain things, but everything i stated could be regotten ingame. Whether it was the haidate from another byakko, or the rajas ring from COP. They where very clear on the fact that i could get it back, only that they cant give me details on how to do it
So, i guess now im going to try and find a way to get it back.

They didnt say how i could, but they made it clear that i can get it back thru normal ingame actions. Meaning they wont restore it, but that i have to do it on my own. They made it a point to say that it was 100% possible.
