Talk to Geomancer in Jahara (to the right of the first real town area, after you cross the bridge), he'll open path, then tele to Henne gate crystal, enter room you fought the boss in, and go through the open door there.

confirming that 999 is the highest chain =P
got this while lvling up the stragglers and trying to get zodiac spear from henne mines (0/67 ; ; )
Where can I get Utsusemi: Ichi?
>_>
what stage of the game do you have to be to get the zodiac spear in henne mines? i'm atm lvl 46 vann 39 all the rest. I've currently reached Phon coast, and that's about it as far as game progrssion has gotten. atm the area where i would enter through to henne mines (that secret opening, of the gate or so) is caged off, and i cannot enter. I take it a hunt would open that door? or perhaps just progression into the game?
need at least 10 espers then talk to the Geomancer in Garif Village, it'll open up that caged off doorOriginally Posted by Nikopiko
nevermind, got it.
For Ishteen, every 10 seconds there's a 2% chance he'll show up, so he'll always eventually pop?

Over an infinitely long period, yes, the 2% chance will always make him pop.
Anyone else disappointed with the Wyrmhero Blade? It isn't even one-handed![]()
Since I can't find anyone else asking this question, I figure it's something in the game that's staring me in the face and I'm missing it.
How on earth do you allow your characters to use more gambits? I LP'd extra gambit spots but Vaan can only use 1 and Balth & Fran 2 each, the rest are greyed out. I'm real early in the game so maybe they haven't been "unlocked" yet, but is it based on level? story point? Is the character actually using them even though they're greyed out?
You need to advance further into the story to unlock more gambitsOriginally Posted by Pyrena
Thank you, I thought I might have been missing some menu command or license in order to use Vaan's #2&3 gambits (wasted LP on gambits lines I can't even use yet).Originally Posted by Illverin

On each line, you can hit the right arrow on the direction pad to move the cursor to 3 separate areas. The far left of the line, the middle, and the right. Putting it in the middle allows you to select the target for the gambit. Putting it on the right allows you to select the command that will be performed on that gambit.
Put it to the far left and press the X button once, the line should appear "raised". Now you can move the line up and down to re-order it with respect to other lines. Pushing it a second time will drop it back down into the new location that you decide on. This is how gambits are prioritized, they go top to bottom. It looks at the first line, if there's no target meeting the specified condition it goes to the second line, etc.
Insteading of moving your line up and down while it's raised though, push the X button a second time without ever moving it up or down. It will toggle the state between ON and OFF. Just like you can go all the way to the top and turn gambits ON or OFF completely for the entire character, you can turn individual lines ON or OFF as well using this method. However, you can't turn a line ON unless it has a target and a command assigned to it. So first thing to do is set the target and the command even though it's greyed out, then go to the far left and turn it ON by pushing X twice.
Oh you have to turn them on line by line? See I knew it was something staring me right in the face. I thought I tried everything too.Thanks.
Maybe it was asked already, but why is your target name red, gold or white?
If you're talking about what I think, it's supposed to give you an idea on if you can beat the mob. Red = run your ass away, yellow = challenging but doable, blue = easy prey. Sometimes it's accurate, but it was not uncommon to go killing red guys. I know leveling adds some stats, but it seems to me that the licences and actual equipment are a ton more important. When I decided to level up my B squad, they were like 40 killing the bats in the deep part of Henne Mines which are 65-67.
What determins multiple hits?
weapon type
some weapon types get multi hits more frequently than others
can i get the excalibur w/o diamond armlet?
don't think so, I've been trying to steal the armlet from Mom Bomb in Crystal Grande so I'll have the excalibur before pharos. ('-'*)d
Where is Excalibur in Pharos? I went through there and didn't even know I had a chance to get an Excalibur >.> I got the armlet accidentally from Mom Bombs my first time through Crystal Grande lol. I think it was a drop though, not a steal.
