Making Kings harder is the most retarded idea I've ever herd. Try to remember some people have never killed a King, because they aren’t in an LS that bots. (Yes “zomg you’ve never kill a King. J00 n00b.” I guess all the “shitty” players must be in LSs that don’t bot.)
How is it fair to new people?
If you want to make Kings harder, why don't you wait ‘till it goes super and try to kill it then? "Wah wah I can't thats too hard."? Cry more. Or failing that kill them with 3 people. King's don't need to be harder they need to be more common or instantiated to support a much larger population of end-game players than there was when they were released.
Mazurka should have been a little hate spell to begin with. It's not needed to sub tank with and a main tank bard...? It's rediculous that it's an MPK spell now.
Yeah god forbid anyone should do anything outside the norm like tank Faf with BRD/NIN, or do Omega with NIN/BRD. I don't see any reason why you couldn't fix the steal issue without stopping creative possibilities like the ones listed above.
Nins has a hard time already generating long term hate like a Pld/nin without using "creative" subjobs. The problem lies in how SE designed fafhogg (though I only really camp him on blue moons... gogo 80+ people in DA on a gauranteed NQ following nid). I think they should add King orbs in Ks99 fights to fight instanced versions of the HQ Kings.
What the fuck are you talking about? NINs imagined problems are rooted in Fafnir and Nidhogg's design?Originally Posted by Mashu
Huh!? You fail comprehension 101, my friend.
My comment was a reply to someone wanting Zurka nerfed because it's been used to mpk in DA, bringing up the whole Fafhogg is flawed argument. Consequently, any nerfs should not be based on what happens in DA.

Seriously. I honestly wish they would just stop adding new shit and really focus on fixing the ridiculous lag in this game.Originally Posted by Genosync
The most depressing thing about the lag is that Cliff from Windower rewrote their threading implementation to make it not suck and managed to remove almost all of the Jeuno lag in his tests, so even though it was never released, it's proof that it's possible if they would just put the effort into it. x.x
they practically are, ppl always buy them for crafting, skilling, quests. and guess what? they get consumed by crystals or npcs.Originally Posted by Miji

you all ready have makibashi, shurikens, if you want to use the tight definition. however a consumable is somthing that can be consumed, and every synth material is consumable under the loose definition, even if the final products are not. so yea ingots are consumable
and if you wanted to make your idea of comsumable stuff that badly, you should of just leveled wood, alchy, cook.

I'm going to assume you don't craft (or have otherwise limited knowledge on the subject) since you just made a semantics argument out of this.

Oh come now, Smithing has those wonderful weapon upgrades where you instill a few charges of Tier 1 nukes onto a 300k weapon. Can't keep those in stock.
Who'd want to swap to something like putting RR charges on commodity items? Pah!

Are there any short term plans to fix the Dynamis-Jeuno dancing goblin bug? Every time we call a GM for this they say it's being fixed, but it's been years now...
For those who don't know about it, the bug consists in groups goblins starting to just do a glitchy vertical vibration at some time, and killing mobs does not make them depop, they just stand there, dead with their name grey, and never vanish or drop anything, so the NM's never pop since we don't actually "kill" the triggers.
Last Dynamis-Jeuno we did, we had over 1h left on our hourglasses for farming and had to drop them when the glitch occured. /farewell 1,000,000 gil
EDIT: oh yeah, first post ftw
Why do people act as if SE's developers get together for their bi-monthly meeting and that their discussion transpires as follows:
Dev#1: So, its time to brainstorm content for the next update patch. PR#1, have you been in touch with the player base?
PR#1: That's a good question.
Dev#1: Any ideas for the update?
PR#1: I'll look into it.
Dev#2: Well, we could either fix the game, fix the lag, or let Puppetmasters wear Beak Jerkin +1.
Dev#1: I like the Puppetmaster idea. Any other ideas?
Dev#3: Maybe we should give something new to summoners? We've been ignoring them for the past couple months.
Dev#1: That sounds good, too. Let's also introduce a fish ranking NPC in Al Zahbi, who can be taken prisoner during Besieged.
Dev#2: Sounds good to me.
Dev#3: Yep.
Dev#1: What about you, PR#1? Is this what the players want?
PR#1: I don't know.
Dev#1: Well, I guess that about wraps it up. See you in two months!
I'm sure if it were a simple matter of either fixing the game or doing a Halloween event, they'd have fixed the game by now.

A Haubergeon gets consumed by a crystal too if you make a Hauberk. Yeah, smithers have Haubergeon as a consumable too !
a little alternate idea for xping to make it more accessible and less tedious/competitive with other people moving into your camps
Assault style Missions/Quests; maybe even actual assault missions
Some Rules:
- 5 keys per day - max of 25k Exp/Limit points per day
each assault gives 5,000 Exp and some AP but no Gil/Items
each mission scales with pt size designed to take roughly 1 hour for a
average pug party and 3,000 Exp for solo play (faster for better groups)
Assault only Meds available in different potencies
mob levels in assaults are based off the highest party members level
cappable @ 50/60/75 by party leader
The concept would be that you
- wouldn't always go out and grind Imp's/Fly's if Mire is packed
make some missions where you have to stuff other than grind mobs exclusively (like the current assaults).
Use Assault only items to Compensate for Lack of Refreshers and Healers
The idea needs a bit of tweaking to not make jobs unwanted, maybe make the assault only items expensive enough to warrant considering adding a healer if there is one.
Maybe Regen Drops or Refresh Drops and Various Status Curing Meds in different potencies that have a corresponding affect on acc/att so as to balance the effectiveness of 6 melee pt using meds with 4 melee pt with healer / refresher
Is PR#1 Sage Sundi by any chance?Originally Posted by Khamsin
