I can confirm being able to resist Virus from Tiamat, and Burn from Gates of Hades from Cerberus with fire resistance setups. Whenever I've resisted the status it was on 90% dmg resists. It might be possible to resist the status on lower % resists too, but I haven't seen that yet.

so you're comparing the proc rate of status aliments from a lv75(I'm guessing) dynamis mob to a lv95 cop wyrm.

I doubt dynamis mobs are lvl 75. tough I have seen resists proc against paralyga from jormungand (not quiet as often as in dynamis but still noticable), Strangely never seen any resist on TP move ailmaints, like virus from Tiamat Wings with the correct barspells up, which to me seems kind of odd.

Not really aiding in this discussion persay but wearing a Barfire set for Tiamat gives you the ability to resist the Virus on the wings.

I would assume this applies to other Wyrms as well, but at least in regards to Ouryu our NIN/BRD from our last run wasn't able to resist any of the Slow effect from wings afaik

BRD gives resist silence, not resist slow.

I dunno if you got the resist traits wrong or what, or I completely missed something.

Could be he's talking about resist builds, not traits. Slow is earth based, so presumably an earth resist build for Ouryu would help against slow.

Our last Ouryu run the NIN/BRD was sitting at 280-290ish Resist (was missing Sand Gloves and none of the WHMs on had Af2 legs), and he didn't resist any of the slows from Bai Wing. His resist rate on Break was really nice though

Similar to the Paralyga move from Seiryu, is my guess.

Just to poke this thread again. I'm currently doing some Hakutaku eye farming on my BST/WHM. I'm wearing the Flawless Ribbon in order to get some good pseudo-scientific data on resist rates. It *looks* to be somewhere between 10% and 30% resist rate, but there's always that nebulous "works for me" factor that I can't shake. I'll post my results when I get sick and tired of seeing "Fndragon is paralyzed" 50 times in a row. (ugh). I am seeing more benefit, however, to the +30 Light Resist and +30 Dark Resist, on the ribbon...

I'm fairly unimpressed with resist rates for things other than the ribbon, so I'm not surprised the ribbon isn't very strong. In dynamis-valkurm we cleared all the sheep and in the entire clear I managed to evade sleep 3 times thanks to barsleepra, 15 light resist and > 100 MND, and in the entire time insomnia earring went off once with a "resist!" My experience with the resist paralyze ring from assault + dalmatica is equally unimpressive. If the ribbon is 20% thats still 4 times better than most other resist items.

I think level has a lot more to do with it. Most hecteyes are EP anyway, you'll have 20-30% resist rate without the ribbon.
