Gilseller pimps on your server?

I was at King Artho camp yesterday and noticed something odd, so I checked a NIN named Blurant and he had a bunch of good shit. He had Byakko's Haidate, Sattva Ring, Suppanomi, Amemet Mantle +1 (cheaper now but most of them just use NQ), etc, but that's pretty much more pimp than a lot of people I know. All the other taru mages seem to have CoP rings as well. Are there many NINs sporting haidates on your server, and gilsellers with CoP rings?

Now that I think about it, Blurant was wearing a speed belt too. Needs more dusk and koga tekko. He was examining me while fighting KA so he could go ahead and buy the next few things to be more pimp than everyone!

There are gilsellers on my server with AF+1 and shit.
They're starting to wear SH and nobles too.
Its like they have so much gil these days that they can waste it.

It's not sad, really. I mean, if you played literally like... 16 hours a day in some what colaborating groups, I would expect you to have that, too.

It sucks, but should be expected. I find it funny that on Bahamut, gilsellers are equipped with Valkurm Dunes gear at lv75... kind of surprises me that they aren't wearing better gear.

I've seen them with Ridills too. I think most of the pimped gilseller types are only pimped because they bought the account after it was pimped. It's kinda depressing when it's a character that you once knew being whored for the dark side.

On asura there's quite a few with pretty good gear.
I think firelady has blood legs... and all that hq stuff.

We also have the dirt poor ones that wear trash even the poorest people on your server wouldn't touch. (those craftables with no stats)

Why not get pimped? You're better able to kill things to make your quota, you'll be able to sell the character for more cash. If you have the time (they do) and the drops aren't selling might as well put them to use.

Blurant as a name sounds like a default for an elvaan, and most of the time RMT don't let the game choose their name.

I'm just thankful that RMT on my server doesn't seem to have gotten past Sky. They go after NQ behemoth, but every foray into something bigger seems to die out after a day or two.

Like Carbon said, if I could somehow play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and was guaranteed to always have 5-17 friends around on the perfect jobs, pretty sure my gear would be really good too.

I haven't noticed any insanely well-geared gilsellers on Sylph, I've definitely seen NINs with Byakko's Haidate and WHMs with Noble's Tunics though. Don't think any of our gilsellers have finished CoP yet, but I know some of them do Boroka at least.

Was XPing in the Mire last night and a group of GS came near and got Imp aggro. They immediately called for help and did a /say {Help me out!} while we watched them wipe.

They raised and recovered and then proceeded to camp right on top of us only targetting Imps. Funny thing was they were all 66-68 and I didn't see a piece of gear above level 40 on any of them. We could kill 3 Imps/Flies in the time it took them to kill one...

After an almost-wipe, they Tele-Mea'd ... I assume to head to Bibiki for safer XP.

Moral of the story, they were gimped... more gimps than pimps from what I see on Cerberus.

After our HQ Gilsellers killed Tiamat and Jormy, almost all of them got banned, lol. We back to NQ and NQ-1 Gilsellers for now.

Frist these days is using amemet+1, I think haidate (one of em had em...), and intellegent stuff otherwise, pretty damn good stuff for a mnk that functions as their main tank generally. I'm pretty sure they switched the people that were playing Chest over to Frist when chest got banned.

Only 1 on Cerb that I am aware of that has unusual gear for a gilseller. But the account was bought. Has haidate, rajas, brutal earring, etc.

There are a bunch of gil sellers on Asura with better gear than most regular players.

It's kind of depressing, but with the length of the time Viking (RMTLS formerly with quite a few NA tit-suckers) had a death grip on sky before the NQ RMTs came to provide competition, they had plenty of time to meet/exceed quotas and get pimped out.

Doesn't hurt that most of the leaders of the Viking crew are the teenage kids of middle class families in China, and just farming for pocket money, not their daily rice.

Nowadays though, most of the RMTs are the usual gimps, only the ones in Viking are super pimped.

Ramuh has both types. The pimped gilsellers who actually do the god killing, and the shite equipped ones who warp claim at Ulli. I presume that the RMT policy is to use the disposable accounts to cheat and gain the triggers, and the pimped accounts to kill the forced pops. That way they are less likely to lose the pimped ones when (if?) the banhammer ever comes down.

Same on Seraph... had a bunch of HQ. First set got booted with the very first bannings they ever did years ago now. The others just randomly disappear never to be seen again... Most obvious of these being Gimya who used to claim to be the group leader. That guy/girl seemed to enjoy playing FFXI though, lvled a bunch of jobs and had a ton of loot. Was in the first group of gil sellers on Seraph to get Sky/Sea ect but he/she lost Gimya and is back on another NQ char named Flowers.
