I drink, but don't mix with FFXI and attempt to do something constructive.

If I'm playing, I want to play and do something good, not hear about how drunk someone is, or how wasted they are and playing. They typically play like shit and I hate how FFXI is so team orientated that its like having a lone drunk in the car and everyone's sober and you just want to leave him on the roadside to find his way home.
I hate hearing "oh this one time I was so wasted" stories in real life. Why? Because mine would be better, but I don't need the preface.

Its fun to drink and chat in LS though, I'll give you that.
Sorry for the rant, I just got chewed out at work by 3 bosses at once.

Dyanmis drinking seems to be rather common. I know alot of members will drink on Friday nights after work, thats why we typically resort to farming Cities rather then Snow zones because we have drunk asses running around aggroing everything.

I'm typically like the OP I won't drink while I'm playing the game but when I come home on the weekends after a night out of drinking then my gaming skillz are not so "leet".

Yup, dynamis nights are the nights I stop on the way home from work and grab a bottle of wine for the wife and a 12 pack for me, and I usually help her on the bottle of wine, especially on 0-1 AF Northlands runs, lol.

I couldn't lv Nin without being tore up. I don't remember any pts of my nin carreer but I heard I was one of the best around at the time. Not sure how but I'll go with Sonomaa here:

Fafnir Drinking Game: Take a drink for every wing.
Alternate: Every time he's paralyzed. Comes out a bit higher if you have a rdm with Para II merited, and you'll get more bursts of drinking.

Getting drunk some nights was the only way I could tolirate that game sometimes. Drunk NIN / WAR burn PTs were fun. Drunk in WoW is fun too.
