FFXI and Alcohol

I've only been drunk twice and both times ended with vomiting on neighbor's lawns and going to sleep, no ffxi.

i woke up with leaping boots one morning after a good solid night of drinking and no idea what i had done, but then again it was more exciting when i was lvl 20..haha

I have far to many drunk FFXI stories but I'll give you the best two.

Get home from the bar and log in and go to trio behemoth. This is a great idea except I pass out well before he pops. In mmy drunken dreams my hands are vibrating over and over and over. At some point I wake up and see that:
1. B is up
2. B is claimed
3. W have claim
4. He will probobly hyper before we kill him if I do not start attacking him real quick. Party chat was basiclly "ODB WAKE UP <CALL>"
I wearily take my controler and attack then I close my eyes and just mash my rampage macro. If I heard a call then I would open my eyes and turn my to face the mob again. Yes, we won. Our drops were shit.

When I was taking whm up I drunkenly went to help get a wyvern skull in Ifrits. I'll keep it short here and reduce this to one simple rule.

1 drink everytime something reraises.
1 drink everytime someone gets aggro.
2 drinks everytime a ??? moves.
3 drinks if someone dies.
4 drinks if you die.



This made Ix'drk a lot more fun for those of us who played.

Did play maybe two or three times FF XI when I was drunk.
( I only drink maybe 3 times a year till iam in Nirvana, like New years eve or own birthday, rest I have to drive ;; )

Things that happen.
-can't really type, and if I type then missing letters or adding letters in words. also sentences dont make any more sense.
-i talk more german on vent then not drunk even though no german is on vent beside me
-i can tank better then not drunk.

I was logging in and asking on vent if anyone wants to exp with me on my NIN. (was arround lvl 50ish that time). people refused to exp with me cause hehe they did not want to die.
Next day I was 1.5 level higher and I remember a few minutes of my exp pt where I felt like invincible.

I remember telling the person who invited me that I am drunk... but well he/she did not care, maybe thought iam joking.

I think playing drunk is really fun.. as long it is not annoying like

I showed up to a Dyna-Beau run drunk enough that I kept half passing out. When RDM body dropped, people were spamming tells so I would wakeup and lot :/ But, I won, so it was a pretty rad night.

This one time, nay, every other day, someone in LS chat, say, or shout, says they are drunk... they are completely able to play the game in a normal manner, but type with many typos to the point you wonder how random those typos are... and that person likes to mention how drunk they are several times. Yeah, that guy is hilarious. Never gets old.

This thread reminds me: Do not smoke marijuana while playing FFXI. I'm not really a big fan of it. Probably only smoke once or twice a year if even that. But I'll tell you, leveling while high is a huge fuckin mistake.
