again, i really dont know why it matters how long single player mode is on a shooter game. It's all about online play. I wouldn't be able to have an xbox if it wasn't for Live, shooters/fps/pretty much anything but rpg's bore the hell out of me unless i'm online talking to someone and killing them.

GOW is a masterpiece, but the only flaw I see personally is in the multiplayer matchmaking system. You can't stay together with a group of your buddies in ranked matches, which usually means you get two-three jackasses that either suck ass, or don't know what the hell they are doing because they jump straight into multiplayer without playing at least the first stage of campaign.

Other than that it's the most fun I've had in multiplayer ever.

Yeah i noticed that. They'll probably fix/change a few things in online play, games are rarely released perfect.

So, the night I got GoW, I came down with the flu. I played til the start of Act 2, did some online play, then all of a sudden I just felt awful. That's when the 24 hours of pain started.

Soooo... It was kinda detrimental to my recovery laying on my couch and trying to sleep when all I can think of is locusts and chainsaw bayonets. Just made me wanna hurl even more.

This game is insanely fun.. the unfortunate part is I that was completely into FFXII and then this came out, and I cannot decide which I want to play, but Gears has been taking all of my time.
I am finally starting to get better at the online play as well, especially in the Gridlock stage. I love just wasting people who go for the Boomshot at the very beginning, very easy kill.
My new favorite thing to do in the game is to grenade tag. People come at me with whatever *beep* grenade tag. It is much faster than the chainsaw. Also, if you get a chance to get your hands on the Magnum handgun, definitely pick it up. It is like the Shotgun, but much more accurate.

aye, I have the same dilemma.. and wii comes out next week so many games, so little time! I think I'm going to finish 12 this week so I'm not playing zelda and ff12 at the same time. Of course, I'll be on gears from time to time :D

I usually play FFXI on laptop while playin GoW on my TV makes things perfect! :D And i do hope they make online better/bigger maybe add more people and easier to keep playin with good people. I hate meeting people who play live and wont talk or help eachother out and wonder why they get owned. And to you Xavier HURRY UP!!!!!!!
