Highest Quickening chain?

I see all gray and start mashing r2, finally see one light up and hit it and stop paying attention, only to realize it was a mist charge and not a quickening. Then time runs out lol

and quickenings are for pansies!!

I used them near the end of zodiark (because fuck that fight) but little else besides that, I don't like tossing mp. lol

The one time I really had to rely on them was the king bomb, god he sucked, I was way underlvled too lol. Had to pop off so many and used so many ethers and elixers ; ; such a waste. And... to top it off the fucking guy was an optional boss ><!

After getting the renew spam, I came back in with 3 characters berserked and hasted (everyone with deathbringer, celebrant's miter, dragon mail). He started using renew about a second before he went down.

I just set my gambits up and went out to eat with my wife, he spams babies that my guys kill and never dies unless you really put the damage fast on him. Came back and had about 500 LP to spend and finished him off with Vaan and Basch in Berzerk mode (6 hit combo from a hasted, berzerked basch with DB owned).

i liked that fight... i might have been overleveled though, but i just followed him around and killed off as many of those bombs,,,

eventually he stops renewing though,

the one fight that i think i basically HAD to use quickenings was the 5 mandragoras... those buggers would run away and heal themselves like every few hits... and if i had to stop and regroup my guys.. it was basically like starting the fight over again but with less mp

so just used quickening chain when they were all bunched together and was able to take down most of their HP, just few extra hits and they went down nicely

Chain 24 Black Hole 55k~ Was in Wastelands and I just unlocked lvl 3 Quickenings with my main 3 and I HAD to get a Black Hole. Took 3-4 trips to the save crystal but it finally worked, and boy did it work.

So the finishing concurrence depends on how many hits are in the quickening chain?

My highest ever was like 28 but it was suchhhh pure luck and button smashing, just about every quickening lead into another mist charge.

Btw, is black hole stronger than the light one? I've gotten black hole 4-5 times but only gotten the light one once. (Can't even remember what it's called)
