Anyone that argues that relic aren't "better" over anything else a job can use of the same weapon type are retarded. They're the best items for the slot in the game.

The only place for argument is if better is equal to good enough for the cost, which in a lot of cases its not.

I'm not trying to side with against relics, cause I think they are cool, but I think you could make a pretty good argument toward Bavara being useless (maratal Buhj)

Yes, and 3% more on the parser when you're doing 30% of the party's damage is 10% more damage personally. Math is teh hard.

And yes when I go to lolKirin (which is at best once in a blue moon because my LS hasn't ever done sky so I only go as a guest to friends' kirins) I go with my chi-blast gear. Partly because that's the only time I ever chi blast, so it's still fun to me. wtf he plays this game for fun?

I wouldn't say Bravura is useless, it supposedly has a 60% str mod which can be stacked with warrior's usual bag of tricks for ass-kickery. Axe/Ridill will still probably out DD it in many situations, but it's sometimes easy to overlook that a fully meritted sword warrior's skill will be lower than base gaxe.

Well only person I've ever talked to about it said their Metatrons were about same as their M. Bhuj Steel Cyclones (must be that low taru VIT amirite), so that's what I was going off of, nobody on Titan has one. Of course, there's more to the relics than WS dmg...

while your completely right, due to the utility of duel weild for wars combined with Maratal when they do want to use Gaxe you could feesably argue that it's one of the more useless weapons, as opposed to scythe, dagger or even polearm(since drg has no alternatives really)

mind you I'm excluding mage only relics from the argument.

I agree that Man/Rid will do more to alot of mobs, but it seems to me that the combined effects of evasion down and defense down make for a nice weapon. Meanwhile you're saying that Apocalypse, Gungnir, and Mandau are more beneficial. Let's look at what they get: Blind and HP recovery; def down and shock spikes; poison and crit bonus. Poison is less than a rdm can do. Blind is laughable. Shock spikes is ludicrous. Of the three weapons, only Mandau gets a WS that's any better damage than normal (and that only because it's one-hit instead of two).

If you're going to say that one relic weapon is worthwhile while another isn't, you'll need a stronger argument than that.

Yeah you're right, 11 base dmg, +20 acc, chance of double damage hits, lower the mob's eva and def and the ability to make light/double light pale in comparison to +.25 to Steel Cyclone's dmg multiplier.

Like I said, you're probably going to get better results with Man/Ridill or a similar combo, but saying M Bhuj > Bravura is no different to me than saying Destroyers > Spharai, Senji > Kikoku etc.

They are the only relics I would personally upgrade, They are also the relics that I feel have the biggest impact against what is allready avalible for each job, and jobs useage in a party (lolmerit party relic motivation) or in an LS.

Make it clear though, if Someone is going to collect all their own currency and not ask for any kind of additional help I could care less if they do staff or polearm. If you are going to help someone get a relic in an LS enviroment, I would look for a dedicated person.. that wants one of the 4 above relics, thats just my standpoint though.

To stay on topic, I would get a kraken club for DRK long before Apoc.

Some NA's with good gear picked up a few Daggers and GKT and discovered what they can do.

Oh yeah, SE turned Mandau in to a D39 weapon. That helped a little bit too.
