Right now it seems Cal can pull the upset vs USC. Which will leave Florida at #3 BCS, ND #4 which Michigan beat. How come I have a terrible feeling we have to beat the wolverines all over again to get the national title. I would rather play any other team in the NCAA. For the records Rutgers is getting beat by Cincinatti so they are out. Alabama I think is #5 but have to play Florida in the SEC title game
Here are 2 conditions people should not forget due to head-to-head meetings:
Arkansas was blown out by USC and should not make it over USC if they both end up with 1 loss.
Notre Dame was blown out at home by Michigan. I believe Georgia Tech is their only win over a ranked team this year. (by current ranking)
The National Championship should be Michigan vs. Ohio State. I'm convinced after the outcome of the game that Michigan definitely is the best 1-loss team in the nation. I don't buy into the "they had their chance" hype because the game was not played on a neutral field. If this was the outcome on a neutral field, I'd agree with the logic. The reality is that Michigan likely would have won if the game was played at Michigan and we really can't tell who would have won on a neutral field. (thus we need to find out)

Theres no doubt that michigan is the best 1-loss team, but fuck a rematch. If it was the first game of the season, id be content with that, but i don't want to watch the same shit over again when there is a MUCH improved arkansas team and a competitive USC team. It wouldnt be fair for ohio state or michigan (if they had won today) to have to play again for the national championship.
Wow, BCS standings just came out. Michigan still #2, but barely ahead of USC.

Everyone else seems to be far enough back there's no way for them to overtake the Wolverines.
or you could actually read the article and the accompanying analysis and see that if USC wins out, they'll pass Michigan, and the Florida/Arkansas has a chance to do the same.Originally Posted by Byrd
It appears Michigan needs USC to lose to get another crack at Ohio State. But that could open an opportunity to the SEC champion if either the Gators or Razorbacks win their final two games.
