We got a Ryumon for a ninja in our LS as well, obtained a few days ago. When he first equipped it with around 350ish base attack, he received a bonus of 7 attack. Shadow count (JP rumor for potency of the latent effect, I believe) was irrelevant to the attack bonus given. We haven't really worked out how exactly the bonus amount is determined.

350+2% = 357 exact

356 was his attack before equipping the katana, if I recall correctly. He recast shadows before checking it, and he has the same amount of added attack with Ichi up instead of Ni. The same attack is also added with a lower count of shadows on both Ichi and Ni.

also for those that have wanted to kill this NM were killing with around 10ppl PLD with fire resist carol barfira and phalanx2 get's hit for 8 damage from firespit. my base resist is like 165 i think. makes the NM a joke. mijin can still wipe out a few ppl though

Killed it tonight after 3 attempts. Thf pull west from spawn and north into tunnel, nin voke, 2 blms handling pops with gaIII's. 2 blms made it more difficult (non-taru ; , but 3 should have no problems at all. Very fun fight to be honest. Nin says he had +7 with full :ni up. SS to show drop and the cool purple handle.
