He has a point though. I mean, who in their right mind would pass up Potion/Eye Drops, an Elixir (by far the best out of the treasures), a Gambit you can buy for 50 or 100 gil, and a Knot of Rust to get the most powerful weapon in the game. That's just asking too much.

2) is tied to not one, but four treasure chests

3) in areas at the beginning of the game

4) without any dialogue indicating this in any way whatsoever.

i dont mind missing things the first time around.. that just means i get to play the game again :D

i usually do that with most games.. try to finish it on my own as much as i can... then use a guide or something to get 100% completion for the things that i did miss

Seconded, I do the exact same. Im so lost in a cloud atm b/c of classes but I finally went out and got 12 the other day, was some funny shit beating Nidhogg with a lvl 11 party

To the guy mad about how the Zodiac spear quest works, imo it was designed so the people who buy the strategy guide can feel like they got something for the 30 bucks they wasted. You wont need it to beat the game or even beat the hardest encounters in the game. And I come from the old school of rpg gamers that try to beat games at the lowest possible lvl, with the worst jobs/members, etc. just to see if I can do it. The Zodiac spear is not something Im going to sweat about.

Turnesol is arguably the "best" weapon in the game, zodiac spear is just the strongest.
