lol @ ppl lined up for PS3

I went to clock today at my work (Best Buy)around 3:45 pm PST and started my usual rounds, looking for shit to do. After about an hour I noticed that our General Manager was requested to deal with a large group of people outside the store over the headset. Naturally I was intrigued and followed him out the doors. To my surprise there were 8-10 people camping on the side of our store. They had reclining chairs, tents, and that mesh stuff that keeps the bugs out to incase their tents (no bugs in Redding, CA btw).


After finding out they were there to camp the PS3 I busted into a belly laugh. I mean come on, they're camping the PS3 like a Nidhogg. 3 days of not being able to move from that spot. Hardcore I suppose. Anyway it's about 40 degress F in Redding at the moment, I hope it snows ^^

Damn instead of the original 400k shipment, its down to 150k-200k lol. So people who lined up for preorders for PS3 at ebgames near end of the line got fucked. My friend who was behind me in line got a call from them saying he cant get one on launch. But im guranteed mine =D

I preordered 4 of them from different stores around my area... hopefully I didn't make a dumbass move. Hoping for the OMG IT"S NEW syndrome to kick in like on the 360 release. Interested to see what I can fetch for them on Ebay a week or so after release

What I don't get is, there are plenty of stores in our area with zero people in line yet they choose to be the 30th person in a line for 4 days at Best Buy when they can be first in line at a Target or something.

I agree that waiting in line days before a console is released, especially in harsh conditions is a little stupid, but people getting shot at? I wish I could find the shooter and punch them in the face, since those people in line seem to have it hard enough.
