I have an eagle globe and anchor on my right shoulder.

Just an outline, nothing huge, nothing bad, and yes; I earned wearing that symbol for the rest of my life and well I'm quite proud of it.

I won't get any others nor do I feel the need to get any others.
What I don't get about this current fad of tatoo's and piercings especially those plug looking holes that people seem to be putting in thier ear that stretches them out, one day you're going to have to get a grown up job. Hate to break it to you but your punk rock band isn't going to make it, and while this statement of angst and going against the world may be great at 18, when your earlobes look like a 10 day old roastbeef sandwich you'll be enjoying life. Also most places won't hire you with tattoos on your neck and in visable places. Have fun with that giant red star on your neck when you're interviewing at that fourtune 500 company of hell anywhere now a days.

Kaiseran, just to clarify. What you described IMO doesn't sound like what I meant by small and spontaneous. In the text I mentioned tattoos the size of a quarter, if it's that small you're getting it so you can hide it. If it's that small, you don't want it and will regret getting it.

By spontanious I mean if you're walking down the street, see a tattoo shop and decide "Why not". This more applies to your first tattoo than if you already have one. If you don't know what you want, look at different designs, pick a spot and find a good studio, then you will regret it again at some point. Repeat people understand what it means to have something on your skin forever.

I agree that people can regret getting tattoo's, like someone's initials they are currently dating and break up with or something. But as far as regretting it just because you're older, i find that idiotic.

There are good reasons to regret having one, i simply find it funny when people use the line i quoted. Like as an old man ink is high on the list of concerns.

While that's really cool, I'd be scared shit to do anything with him. Scared to touch him, kiss him, have sex, anything, it'd be really fucking creepy I think. On the other hand, that website has a gallery of tattoos and some are really really sweet.

It's their body, but I'll be damned if I can figure out why anyone would want to put a permanent decoration on themselves. And yeah, in my eyes tatoos are really really fucking trashy on women. On guys, too, 99% of the time. The 1% would be like the poster above with the US Marine Corps (?) symbol. That is something you can see the reasoning in and respect.

On mythbusters, they home made a brew of tattoo ink with a fuckton of lead in the ink. The tattooed a pig and put it in the MRI and nothing happened, it didnt even get irritated.

My grandfather has a bunch of navy sea tatoos, they look like crap now that he's in his upper 80's

No offense, but I found it really funny "tattoo" was spelled incorrectly in the topic title <.<

On topic: I personally don't have any tattoos/piercings, and I don't intend to get any. If someone wants to get a tattoo, as long as they realize they'll have it forever, I don't see anything wrong with it. However, I do find people with large amounts of tattoos or piercings to be profoundly unattractive (and I know I'm not alone on that), but again, to each his/her own.

I have had 14 tattoos since that pic was taken, for a total of 19 across my body. I have partial sleaves and my entire back / most of chest done.

Mostly tribal in the beginning, like this pic, but I branched out in to new age and more airbrushed high res looking art.

Down my right inside forarm reads "The End of Heartache" and on my left arm "Pure Inner Strength"



My exgirlfriend asked me to design a tribal piece for her lower back (girls, break the fucking mold already - the body has alot more fun places to decorate).

Btw, don't listen to other people.This is one thing that noone can give you advice for. It's all up to you....

The only thing I can offer anyone thinking of modifying their body, be it piercings, tattoos or anything else - is my own personal experiences. When you change your body, when you take control and express yourself in the most primal and intimate way - you gain a new understanding of yourself and your body. Yes, it fucking hurts (some places more than others, depending on nerve endings -- if the sun doesn't shine there on a typical basis, or it's on a bone, it'll hurt more). You have to earn this transition. Noone can do it for you. If tattoos didn't hurt, more people would have them. It's a sensation you'll enjoy. I can't simply tell you these things - you have to experience them.

I'll say this much; No woman has EVER satisfied me as deeply as tatooing has. Don't be afraid of the needle, it's like nothing else you'll ever feel in this world - and that's sorta cool, isn't it? Sex feels amazing, and if you're in love, it's almost overwhelming ....but getting a tattoo hurts you. So how is it better? When it's over, it's yours forever - and every time you look in the mirror you're that much closer to being the person you are, inside, and it's something you did, not fate.




It's a spiritual awakening that you will cherish...and want again.

Lead does not respond to magnetism in the same degree as Iron or Steel. Try and pick up a BB or a pellet gun pellet with a magnet.
