That whole "Give it to people who are on 24/7 and have the most points" is bogus. Maybe not in all situations, I'm all for giving the gear to the most deserving party, but a whm? That's just stupid. There are plenty of people who play this game who can't make every event, unless you wanna be a dick and lot a Ridill when you don't even have War leveled that's messed up.

There are plenty of circumstances to take into account, but overall people just come off as lootwhores who take items when they aren't even close to being able to use them. Even a Ridill.

A 75WHM that tries to lot a ridill, and can't equip it on any other job, over a 75WAR wouldn't be in my linkshell in the first place.

Most of the time it's almost common sense who deserves what items based on time camping/farming/etc and how good of a use they'd get out of it. Truthfully, if I magically leveled WHM to 75 tomorrow, I'd probably be able to lot the next Shining Cloth and what not. But, I'd still be on NIN 99% (thanks to my merits D:<) of the time, so that'd be simply a gigantic waste of resources. Common Sense > Point System.

What's wrong with a whm? Fact still stands I earned what I have, and my friends felt the same. Maybe you fail to realize that my LS would rather have me come to events as WHM because maybe that's what I'm needed as at the time? Keep hatin' though, I'm enjoying your envy.

Actually, our system is among the most fair DKP systems around, and our officers consistently get PMs from LSs on other servers regarding its various rules and nuances. The part Naver is leaving out is that a WHM-only would never be able to lot a Ridill, and someone who is say, a BST or RNG would have to have 30% more points than a WAR to even lot against them. The fact is, he plays WHM more often than his WAR at events simply because we usually need more WHMs than Ridill WARs and he gets asked to come on that job.

System sounds 100% fair.

One of our BLMs (we only use her BLM pretty much) just got hope torque (i know its not a ridill, using example) for her RNG, she's stage 4 relic bow which is nice but still realistically a few months from completing.

We have a few RNG and a few NIN and 1 NIN + RNG other than her but she has earned the hope torque over others and thats that.

We have a BLM + THF who will see 1st Love Torque and 2nd Novio no matter what even though his BLM is what we use 99% of the time, he's earned it +1000.

That's just how shit works.
