The Gordeus has the same type of styling, and looks (to me) to be made of the same type of stuff as the Alzadaal Ruins. There's almost certainly a link, whatever it turns out to be.

By the way, am I the only one that thinks calling Alzadaal "ruins" is more than a bit innacurate? The place is in pristine condition, something that cannot be said about Al Zhabi.

Now that you mention it, the Stone Tablet in Waj Woods also faces a small island to the east with another Stone Tablet facing it. So it's likely that eventually they will play a part in taking you across the water to the small islands they face like you said. The waj woods one is at H-13 and points to an Hazklah Island at J-13.

Edit: Also another Tablet at H-7 Mire on the north end of Sharug Isle. And a second in mire on Hediva isle.

And someone earlier in the thread mentioned that there was another stone in Wajaom like the one in Zhayolm. Where is that one, in relation to the tablet? I don't recall ever seeing a crest with that symbol in Wajaom before, but I've seen the tablet.

Ffxiatlas has the engraved tablet marked at H-13. The island to the east (Hazklah Islet) is in J-13, and there are no known passages to it.

Those tablets make it seem like it will be another Dem/Holla/Mea Crag -> Al'Taieu -> Apollyon/Temenos Endgame-Dealy. Cept it looks like:

Zhaylom/Wajaom/Bhaflau/Mire -> Secluded part of said areas -> Remnants <-> Alzadaal Undersea Ruins

There are at least 5 islands you can't access in TAU, (correct me if i'm wrong here).

Hazklah (Wajoam), Sharug and Hediva (Caedarva) plus 2 unnamed Islets in the sicklemoon straights (presented on the Mount Zhayolm map).

Also, I think part of Tandjana Island (Bhaflau) isn't accessable (not certain at all about this)

Is that the tablet or the stone with the crest on it, in Wajaom? Or are they the same thing? I don't recall the Stone Tablet looking like the one in the picture.

They are all the same "Engraved Tablet" type target that look the same. A stone with a blue glowing glyph.

Edit: None of the four islands are accessible yet in game. I used a program outside of the game called EWH to go poke around and see what was up with them.

Woah, woah, woah... those are the positions of the 2 islands (roughly) on their respective maps, but I'm not aware of there being an Engraved Tablet on the shore of the accessable parts of the mire.

Admitedly, creeping around Caedarva/Arrapago isn't something I do every day, but I have been up to both areas nearest the inaccesable isles and I don't recall any engraved tablets there.

The two in mire dont have tablets pointing toward the "shore" like the others in waj and Mt. Z. Mires tablets are both on the as of yet secluded islands. However one island (i forgot which the two) has a tunnel leading downward, so it will probably be possible to reach it later on when the Ruins open up making it secluded no more. The second island however has no tunnel making it truley secluded, just like the islands in Mt. Z. and Waj Woods.

I bet it takes you across the water. There's two sets of crests+unreachable islands. One set is in the pic of Mount Zhayolm, the other set is in the far south of the woodlands. Theres a crest in the woodlands that does nothing, and it's facing the island on the lower part of the woodlands map, just like the stone in zhayolm is facing its respective island.
