The only game I'd really want to play over on VC was M64. When they start putting out more games, I'm sure I'll jump on board. The price of VC is just outside of my impulse buy now.

I agree, but I never owned a 64 back in the day, so I picked up M64. I figure it is worth the 10 dollar price tag to play it on my tv rather than emulate it.
I'll save my other 1000 Wii points until better ones come out.

The only game I might get off the first round of VC is Sonic. I already have not one but 3 versions of zelda 1 :-/ I'll wait for super metroid, punch-out, starfox, etc...

Super Metroid prz. ; ; My cart died and it erased all my files, took it apart and replaced the battery and now it crashes during the intro and you have to skip it with Game Genie or something. Earthbound started eating files too though... wah. (Yeah yeah, emulators, but I reeeeeeally hate playing some games on PC and Metroid is one of them.)

I think the DS USB wireless adaptor would work, since I recall reading that DS and Wii would be using the same format.

Oh snap, I have to get that working again then. If I ever get it to even cooperate with my DS again before I pick up a Wii I'll let you know.

I will litterally send Nintendo a beheaded goat if they put Earthbound on the VC. Otherwise it's one huge waste to me. I can't believe they are not adding extra features ;o. Just doesn't justify the price, not even if you include the cost to add the VC altogether. Though, I might get Duck Hunt, just for the hell of it.

Not out yet on the VC, since I was thinking about it. It is in the list of 2006 titles for VC, but was not in the launch batch.

And the graphic in my sig is from nexgenwars.com. If you go there you will see the PS3 and 360 numbers as well.

Edit - Japan is only getting like 88,000 Wiis I think. So it is not all that hard to believe.

The sheer raw numbers of it is that Nintendo pretty much sold out of Wiis, Sony sold out of PS3s, but Nintendo had way more Wiis ready to be sold. There were only 88,000 PS3s at launch in Japan.

Even if you entirely credit it to a supply issue, the Wii has sold more systems.

I do not believe this is blind worship of Nintendo. People did not blindly worship them when Gamecube came out, and when Wind Waker came out. If people started making claims that those were the best games and systems ever then you could call that blind worship.
Instead fans and/or fanboys are making claims that Nintendo's marketing and development plan is immensely better than Sony. Sony's plan is to instead make quotes like "We could price this at $1000 with no games, and people would still line up."
But I apologize, I do not want to get into another debate like this.

I heard that next shipments will be Tuesday/Wednesday and Friday. Good luck getting one on Black Friday, however if you go at open and just wait til shipments arrive on Tuesday/Weds., that might be your best bet.
