Nobody denies this, but their point is that its not likely you have enough RDM/DRKs on standby to chainstun every run. My LS does KS99 in sets of 6-8, to chainstun every run just isnt feasible.Originally Posted by Pearlsea

A couple missed stuns wouldn't even cause a loss. During flight we had smn's pull carbuncle out like we do in the last 20% of Tiamat flight. Every round at least 1-2 Flame Blasts hit. It's pretty devestating, but not alliance wiping. I would compare it to Gates of Hades without the burn and possibly not even that bad. With healing ruby 2 and a couple curagas hp was topped again. CS stun is definitely not necessary to guarantee a win every time.
And forgot to mention.. Our nin/drk was using a barfire setup.
congrats to cyroul '3'

on land the pld can cover the rdm and hit invincible, at this point any /whm's are concentrating on blindna's for the melee as the aoe's blindness effect is very strong, at the last 20% its resistance it aplified to magic hence big numbers on ga4's are only garanteed via sc's,

because a lot of people like to do multiple orbs back to back to back to back to back to back. and a strat that doesn't allow them to do that sucks.Originally Posted by Plow
stop sucking and find a strat that can win without waiting an extra couple of hours per orb. i've won with 0 RDM/DRKs and my LS had to lose to figure out how to as well, but i'll gladly take those losses (i forgot if we lost once or twice) over waiting 2 hours between every orb.Originally Posted by Plow
of course that's the same thing, because obviously you can bring your LS to DL six+ times in the same night.Originally Posted by Plow

Oh, and I got extreamly lucky, 1/1 on beard from it. Given, the rest of the dropped sucked, but I could have cared less.
We generally use RDM/WHMs to cast Curaga II after the AoE move. We hvae tried with RDM/DRKs and won, but RDM/WHM seemed to work better oddly enough.
Read the post above yours. I gave a basic, simple strat which requires epic retardation to lose with. Take it from there and do as you will, it's still the same basic principle.Originally Posted by layoneil

sounds like Kayslay to me, i have about that many too from the ol bst :DLike I said before, the guy who lost the first orb also offered the second, he said he was just there for the fun of it, didn't care if we lost as he had 600 seals just sitting in his mog safe (from leveling his BST I assume)
3/5 on Wyrm Beards last night from this :D. NIN/BRD in Fire Resist gear rocked in that fight and had hate glued on him the whole time. We brought some RDM/DRK's, but didn't need to chainpell stun; random stuns were good enough while the BLM's were nuking it in the air.Any beards in the 2 wins? I was thinkin about doing this KS99 for a beard because we cant claim kings;_;.
You need to be kinda careful on the initial approach in this fight. Instead of single-target draw-in, this guy draws in the entire alliance at once if someone besides the tank has hate, and it's extremely easy to get flailed when that happens. Also, sometimes the Wyrm likes to start the fight out with a Flame Breath as soon as it's engaged. Since it starts out facing toward the entrance corridor to the arena, there's a slight chance of 15-16 of your alliance members getting roasted right off the bat if they're following the tank too closely when he's running in to engage (happened to us, but fortunately we recovered).
Double-post necro... that takes skill.
relevant information isn't a necro.
Jeez, you removed my double post before I could even edit it with some self-deprecating humor. Wish they had service that fast on Alla.
Only time he breathed us at the start was when I stopped at my max casting distance and aggroed him with Kurayami. Was much more damaging than Flail too, but at least we know to just run in next time.
When tank pulls, just have someone stun right away, then get into position. Makes it easier and prevents any random TP ownage at start.
