BRP's idea is good since the ppl who post on BG are the hardcore of the hardcore; great ppl.

If something happens, I don't check the news, I check BG forums first.

Alleya brings a good point tho; which is why general section is my fav section of the forums

I remember Zigma suggesting a "PC Troubleshooting" section since there's a lot of computer-problem related threads, and often the same ones pop up again. Just a thought.

I think it would be worse if you take all the next-gen chat and pile it in one or three topics ;o... would, uh, make very lengthly threads that won't be of any real use because you wouldn't be able to find anything in it.

the FF12 section was made because it was a very hot topic and still is. basically any super insane topic that goes nuts on the forums (and isnt stupid like the ps3 posts) will go in the ff12 space when that forum ends its usefulness. its going to be the "Hot Topic of the Month/Year/Century" section

FF12 still keeps busy, but its slowing down, once it hits the low point, there will be a "hot topic" sticky referancing all the pertinent threads and it will be melded back into general until another hot topic is worthy of the forum

Maybe a hot topic... like the release of 2 consoles and Zelda? Anyway, there is a point, but it would be deciding if the point is worth it or not.

Anyway, I'm making(made) a videogame news thread every tuesday that pretty much explains most of what happened the previous 7 days. It would be a nice way to organize the videogame chatter, but somethings just deserve their own threads and/or people just ignore it for the most part.

Did anybody figure out how to avoid "1,2,3....64,65,66" for long threads?

I think that's the main problem with long threads, just makes it a pain to go through it, that's why ppl make new pointless threads or just dumb posts to add to the long thread.

If there was a way to pick the page number for a thread, it would make it very easy to index what info was on which page.

If you can figure this out, I will <3 you long time ^^
