Martial weapons

This was brought up on these forums a long time ago and I'm almost certain it was tested to be +100 and not +50%.

They were originally tested to be TP+100. Then tested by Raineer in the BLU thread to be TP+50%, then tested by Ichthyos in the Claustrum thread to be TP+100. If you don't feel like testing yourself, it's just a matter of whom you trust more, I guess. I vote Ichthyos lol

100 TP=150, 150=225TP, 200=300TP

That's false, at least as far as Hagun is concerned. I've never used any of the others, but Hagun is a flat 100 extra TP in effect to the WS.

Unless you are claiming that the different weapons in that series have a different TP bonus.

You have tests to confirm this? How can you test anything but the sword with Spirits Within?

well normally you could take your hagun, WS at 100% on a lv0 bunny in ronfaure, record your damage, then WS with either an Onikiri (D74) or a Kazaridachi (D76) at both 150% and 200% and compare results. Hagun is the only D75 GKT unfortunately.


However, Mr. Gut Feeling recently deduced that testing on lv0 bunnies is an invalid test, thus you can no longer use the lv0 bunnies as test fodder.

Could probably test on Bunnies with a weapon of the same base damage as said Martial Weapon, and just build TP to xxx points for each weapon.

I'd personally rather see the data from the tests of the people claiming it's TP+50%. I've only ever read mere assertions such as your own that the tests exist. I'd do it myself but I don't have any 72+ jobs with natural sword skill, and I don't believe it enough to bother someone who does.

Hopefully Raineer will see this and he can let us know about his tests. He used to be in my LS, I'll ask him.

My gut feeling tells me a Martial Anelace with dmg 39 will do a 1x larger Spirits Within than Macuahuitl +1 with dmg 37.

Got bored, tested my Anelace... 1224 hp max, martial anelace and mensur epee used as main hand, sentinel shield on sub so no dual wield extra hit if that applies to spirit, 75 rdm on various things outside of ronfaure to make sure there were no resists, shell, magic defense, whatever getting in my way; not sure what else matters to know so won't bother typing the rest...

Martial Anelace used at 103%: 239 damage

Mensur Epee used at 103%: 153 damage

Mensur Epee used at 156% (154% being 103 * 1.5): 191

Mensur Epee used at 210% ( Stupid bat I was main targetting moved into my way before I used Spirits on the goblin I subtargetted for it >.<): 262

No screens, but I can do again if really needed for that; regardless, at least for the Anelace, it's a flat +100 tp bonus.

I just did the test with Onikiri, Kazaridachi and Hagun to Hornets in North Gustaberg.

Onikiri 100% Gekko = 576, 576, 564
Kazaridachi 100% Gekko = 585, 585, 540
Onikiri 200% Gekko = 768, 768, 768
Kazaridachi 200% Gekko = 792, 792, 780
Hagun 100% Gekko = 774, 774, 774


All of these were SA'd, and I was nekkid other than the Great Katana. I'm gonna go with "it's a flat +100 TP"
