He moves to Balfonheim once you get there. They're in Rabanastre's armor shop, someone earlier said.
-
Just beat Yiazmat at 83 with main pt, reserves are 59.
used 18 phoenix downs the whole fight, used arise the rest of the time, no reverse,no windbreakers I only had to go back to town once for chronos tears for the stop from white breath.
took roughly 3:30 hours i think, i did it over the coarse of a few days so i could be wrong.
-
screw yiazmat..i've been fighting him since 4pm EST yesterday and he still is only at 50% hp...this really sucks ; ;
-
4 hours to 50%? ouch.
i used vaan, fran, and penelo... they all had the same armor, magepower shisak and maximillian all around
first line in everyones gambit was ally: KO = arise
with the bubble belts + arise you are raised with double hp, makes it a lot easier to keep everyone up than with phoenix downs.
vaan: strickly DD, bubble occasional bravery/hastega
wep: darkblade
acc: genji glove (switched it off for bubble belt when yiazmat started to double his lvl)
fran: protectga/shellga/curaja occasionally attack
wep: zodiac spear
acc: bubble belt
penelo: curaja curaja curaja esunaga dispel
wep: tournesol
acc: bubble belt
shell is great to have up for his death attack, makes it miss a lot...like +%50 of the time.
i also noticed that with protect up, my team lived through cyclone with 3000 hp each(this was at the very end of the fight, just tried messing around with prot to see if it mattered) didn't test it after the one time i saw it, but normally i survived cyclone with maybe 1 person standing with 100hp making me believe that cyclone is physical and not magic.
just have vaan combo him to death, then syphon him for mp when the girls need it for curing (300+mp from syphon as opposed to ~100 from charge).
didn't really need to do much except watch the fight, and swap in someone after cyclone if some raising was needed, not a hard fight at all...even at the end.
-
I killed it one go no zoning, Lv 99 main team, everybody had NInja Swords.. cat ears and genji until he went crazy.. than bubble belt and arise gambits.. pretty easy just time consuming killed in i think 3 hours.
Arise > Any raising gambit.
-
still fighting...and he hasn't even gone crazy yet >.>
-
If the fight is taking you this long, maybe you should go level up?
-
i'm level 89 ._. and i'm hitting him 9999 like commonly with 5-12 combos ... is 10 levels really gonna make a difference? lol
-
EAST BAY JEDI DONT GIVE A FUCK
-
at 99? well he's hitting me 2.5k at 89, i imagine he'd still hurt at 99 ;x
-
character level makes VERY little difference in how much damage you take, how much damage you do, etc. It's almost all dependent on gear.
-
that's what I figured. i have basically everyone using maximillion & magepower shishack (but balthier is using the crown of laurels), and vaan/balthier both have the cat-ear hood, and ashe has the genji gloves. and vaan is using a golden axe (lol only because i noticed it was 20 more attack then the deathbringer), balthier is using masamune because the darkblade was working way better for ashe.
-
faytt: go to a town aand buy the ebst ninja sword you can.... the best 4 ninja swords will do cap dmg
... and multi hit like crazy.
Also use Expose... he ups his defense around % amount and caps dmg to 6999 (yes why? beats me!)
-
alright, so it helps if everyone on the team has a ninja sword?
-
yeah ninjas multi hit, yo gonna die like crazy when he goes psycho... and he is weak to drk so dont need bravery to keep max dmg
. so no haste no bravery .. more time doing dmg.
-
man, ashe multi-hits like mad with darkblade + genji gloves but my vaan has cat-ear hood / kagunei and ive only seen him multi hit like twice >.>
-
YD's are definitely awesome on him...had 1 for each of my 3 guys... all dropped off chain #30 of the NM... none dropped before that surprisingly...
-
Fuck this shit, took me over 5 hours to bring him down at 95 (Vaan, Ashe, Penelo 95, Balthier 94, Fran 94, Basch 93) and it was the most annoying fight, lol...it reminded me of my old ls's first attempt on Jormungand (6 hours, rofl), minus all the comedy on vent and chats we had while fighting (more like whiping, lol).
-
It's probably not quite the way it was meant to be fought, but I'll probably just spread the Yiazmat fight across a few days. Take off a lifebar or two, go save and do other things. Tomorrow, take off another lifebar or two, and go do more stuff, etc. Would be more enjoyable than a 6 hour fight ending in a wipe, I'd think. Even if it isn't exactly the intention.
-
Took me maybe 5-6 hours too, I did it over a week... I got really bored with it... couldn't spend that much time on it each day..
