Dammit, Im going on a week fighting him now and finally he raged. I didnt think when he raged he'd double his level. I was thinking it was an easy as hell fight but just long...now I guess I can say its a fucking hard fight >.>, 5k/hit 4 hit combos ftl.

EDIT: OK, fuck this fight, I give up. I got the bastard to 4 HP bars left, he does Reflectga, my Remew gambits go off and completely heal him, all 50 life bars. Fuck. That.

Haha when I first got him to like 3 or 4 bars I ran my guys away from him to fix my gambits/use elixirs etc.... while I'm not paying attention I see HP bars going up at the rate of like 1 every second... regened like 6 bars before I could run back to him and dispel his regen effect.... was horrible - -;

Yeah, gotta run out of the arena to do that stuff so he won't regen (unless he puts up regen as you zone out, which people say he can do but I've never seen.)

I mean, yeah, I was using Reverse/Decoy and Phoenix Downs, but I had to leave to go to town 5 times and it still took me 6 hours tops total.

Are you like level-60-with-bad-weapons-and-no-Reverse running it or something?

Nope, 84 on Vaan, 87 on Ashe, 85 on Balthier. Had one team, no arise gambits, phoenix downs 4tw. Vaan and Balthier both mainly curing, Vaan tanking as well. Vaan had Kagunei + Maximillian + Catearhood + Magepower Shishack, Ashe had Yagyu Darkblade + Maximillian + Genji gloves + Magepower Shishack, Baltheir had Masamune + Crown of Laurels + Maximillian + Cat ear hood. I had to zone almost every 3 minutes to get some MP. That was the main issue.

Funny, I used Phoenix Downs too, and never ran out of MP. Did you heal once you revived? Cause I didn't.

I spam cured basically. He hit me like a truck even when he wasnt raged, and I like to stay in max HP, so I had renew/curaja gambits on both Vaan and Balthier, so it got drained relatively fast. Had it set for ~60% or so to be safe. I eventually had Ashe berserked with the yagyu darkblade and she was getting MP like crazy so I just syphoned it off of her so I rarely had to get more MP, but still, I did run out and have to zone every now and then.

And I hate Arise gambits with a passion. It takes way too long, imo. I got people up with phoenix downs and cured again with curaja faster then Arise would go off.

Berzerk your tank, and have your other two people just syphon off the tank when they need mp.

Just killed him with no reverse or decoy, no exiting, and no items. When he went into uber crazy combo mode, with Grand armor and Dueling masks, you got 14000 hp and he does 22k with a combo with protect, so just get a curaja off when he is on 4th or 5th hit and that char will survive.

His melee hits add en-death at times, so its not 100% reliable.

I don't know if it was just me but during the last 10 bars he would combo my characters until endeath kicked in without fail.He was getting ridicolous combos I might be able to live through spamming curaja's but endeath was a bitch.

Arise Gambits ftw didn't go to town once beat in about 2 and a half hours with no reverse with pretty crappy weapons as well.
Had Kagenui(whatever ninja sword that you can buy at the phon coast) maximillians and magepower shishack's on everyone and equipped bubble belts during the last 10 bars.Was really disappointed in this fight he was pretty easy just annoying.
