unless whm's dont know how to "load distance", they shouldnt be getting hit with it in the first place, unless its impossible for whm's to get within curing distance while staying out of bahamut's range.

I know max nuking distance is 21.5, ignoring terranial glitches (FUCKING TERRAIN).


kay well I just tested and max cure distance is 20.7, 20.8 is out of range. I'm pretty certain that sweeping flail is 20 distance, as is most attacks (of course there are exceptions: thunderbolt, wing, etc etc). However, seeing as how it is possible to stay out of range on sweeping flail as a blm while nuking, I'm led to believe that it is indeed 20 distance for it.

its mostly that bahamuts dimensions are not negligible. Bahamut is inbetween the healers and the tank in most strats, therefore the healers have to scoot up a bit and tend to get knocked around.

also @ the post that was just posted before I posted this, I've nuked at 23.x on bahamut, though that would be classified as a terrain glitch I guess.

I've noticed on Kirin that I can cast a bit further away than normal. Like 22ish. I always assume that they had tweaked the max cast distance for some mobs.

I always just figured the windower's distance showed you the center of the monster, while FFXI only counts the distance between you and the skin of the monster. I've heard stories of RNG having to adjust their distances on large, non-kited monsters to get the "sweet spot" distance. ...Back when RNGs needed to do that.
