    /sea all 10 70 = 1080
    /sea all 70-75 = 880

It's safe to assume a good chunk of those 10-70 are leveling subjob, or a 2nd job. No clue how it is during NA prime time, but there is more people doing endgame than people doing 10-70
Not really, many 71-75 people are only interested on assault/meriting/leveling multiple jobs or whatever other aspect of the game. The endgame population definitely didnt grow at the same rate as the level 75 population post-ToAU (except maybe Sky's and/or Dynamis').

Yes, early after he got his excal I remember someone posting it on gameFAQs wondering where some various sky loot was, to wich sendoh responded that you guys didn't do (much of) sky (at the time, likely in favor of ground).

PUP AFv2 is the endgame push they've been hoping for
Yeah...make sure the items drop once every 3 months and PUP will be fixed end game. Craftable af2 that can be completed in a reasonable amount of time please.

Maybe not to you, but importers will remember the good old days. Behemoth/Roc/Simurgh went from an 18 man encounter in Iron Musketeer gear, to a 12 man AF encounter. Serket? Forget about it. 30+ and keep subbing dead people in.. and good luck controlling all the beetles+bats that youre aggroing. Raising the level cap was a big part of it, but gear additions made a ton of difference too.

Theres your progression. It was 3-4 years ago, and was a game without utsusemi, stun, refresh, phalanx, flash, sleepga and dispel. Would you go back?

(yes, rdms were drgs back then)

I don't think that is very true. I'm pretty sure he had the various m abj from sky, wlegs and also an osode for his nin. We didn't do sky every day but we did do it; and that was because most of our members were maxed on sky gear.

    ....IN AMERICA!

Nice enough start on the update notes, I guess, but unless I get some new big bad monsters to kill that drop something valuable enough that I can get other people to kill it as well, I'm not going to be satisfied.

Add a mithran concubine that does all your shopping for you, I still won't be happy without new big bads to inflict massive amounts of pain upon ( and vice versa)

Hopefully "Also, several unreachable sections of both the Bhaflau Thickets and the Caedarva Mire will become accessible, and adventurers will be able to encounter the creatures that inhabit those locations." will lead to that.

To expect any different is silly

Why couldn't Hydra just drop the turban? SE claims they're afraid of overpowered gear, but when they incorporate the best gear, its never obtained via proportionately difficult means. Shitty DRG/SAM gear off one of the most strategic/difficult mobs in the game, and the best head piece, that can be bought off the AH for a couple hundred k now, or some meriting. Yeah yeah its all nice that everyone equally gets to obtain it, but you shouldn't have access to the best gear in the game if you're not willing to do the most difficult events in the game.

And I've never kissed ass, especially about gear. I'm simply don't care about it and find doing stuff more important.
Translation: You want content that if people don't clear other expansions first, it's impossible to attain large chunks of the next.

That's what I like about FFXI. Exploring most of the content is a non-linear progress. I could clear ToAU's missions before I did Divine Might. Or I can say "fuck you" to half of the 3 nation missions and still do CoP.

Expansion content doesn't require a series of jumps through "gear-up" hoops to open up (mostly, there's a few goodies in there for the completists).

There's speculation in my LS that Salvage is going to be like an inverted Besieged where we try to invade the beastman home base. If this is the case then I would be really disappointed.

I'm hoping against hope that salvage is the instanced encounter the developers alluded to a while back in which the players would start out weakened and it would be similar to limbus.

As far as assault goes, I'm just really hoping that there will be some sort of end reward for the completion of the ranks. Possibly getting through the ToA storyline through the cs's will offer entrance into the end-game area (hypothically "island") and getting through all the assaults will provide a higher reward as well as entrance into the area.

    Maybe this is wishful thinking?

    Access to the new endgame areas through assault and completion of the missions isn't a totally bad idea, id like to see RMT grind through that >.>;
