Given,it's tough to top froggie BLM's (How to /panic in Besieged- get two of these Keroppi rejects hitting you with AM's as your Giant's Drink wears off)...but this looks like we may get new monsters as well. Coolness. Also, several unreachable sections of both the Bhaflau Thickets and the Caedarva Mire will become accessible, and adventurers will be able to encounter the creatures that inhabit those locations.

New HNM/NM's on the Engraved Tablet islands?Originally Posted by Black
Also the sky update is nice, albeit incredibly late. Curious what the "requirement" you need to meet is in order to do so. Also why not put the Outpost there to use?
i doubt it's the engraved tablets part that's gonna be released, since there's one in mount zhaylom and that hasn't been included in these update "details"Originally Posted by Gwynplaine
for a long time now i thought that if you had the Kirin Captivator title you should be able to warp straight there, now i'm wondering if that's it. i agree with waffles, i wonder/hope it has something to do trying to 'fix' sky. not to hump a dead horse but why the hell isn't ulli on 2hours yet ...Originally Posted by Gwynplaine
They are busy thinking of a quicker route to sky when the fucking SE morons should be worried about fixing Ullikummi and the mass amounts of gilseller linkshell in Sky.Originally Posted by NynJa
This update could be one of the best updates, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
New Areas
This will be great if Bhaflau Thickets and Caedarva Mire new areas contain the merit point enemies that are extremely overcamped to help spread people out. Knowing square though, it will either be level 60 enemies or level 80 enemies that spam AOE doom that raise will have a 10% chance of taking effect after the person dies.
Mog Lockers
I can't really complain about this other then why couldn't they have done this two years ago when they claimed they couldn't give any more storage due to PS2 limitations. (yet they have given us 70 more spaces since)
New Quests
As long as I don't have to do them for an item/area, I don't really care.
Experience Points in Besieged
This sounds good for people that do besieged.
Tu'Lia
Why are people bitching? A lot of gil sellers never leave sky. I'd like to see my playtime I spent traveling to sky between mid 2004 to late 2005. I'd bet it would be multiple days. Of course a great way to fight inflation would be to just put a guard at the front of sky and let an NPC outpost warp you there for 10k.
Fellows
NPCs should have never vanished upon zoning from the beginning.
I'm hoping this reduces the amount of level 50 characters lagging up the place in besieged, as it will encourage those same players to play their level 75 jobs.Originally Posted by Ryany

Maybe it's a defence mechanism people have picked up due to SE's failings over the years. When they do something good people don't believe it because they've disappointed us so much in the past.
On another note, I hope Wafik is right that this is just the tip of the iceberg. It could be that they're doing it to check gilsellers. Gilsellers live in sky, if they never leave they won't be using check points or hall of gods (etc) to get up there. Perhaps SE pulled their fingers out and are going to honestly monitor people who just have "more time to play" (and don't sleep, eat, work, live life etc). I know my friend had a run in with a group of gilsellers the other day, called a GM, and the GM actually did something about it. In fact, one of them hasn't been seen online since.
I need to be careful, if I get my hopes up too much I'm bound to be disappointed. Cautious optimism 4tw!
I don't get it. What does warping to sky have to do with being a gilseller?Originally Posted by Lordwafik

They just need to add min lvl caps for stuff like lvl 5 and 6 Besieged
as well as improvements to existing game mechanics
This intrigues me the most. The Bercus Chart ( I know he's not the one who came up with the idea but that is it's official name ) coming into play possible?
Or something altogether fixing 21-24 HNM?
I assume he means that they will be able to keep tabs on who actually uses it to come and go from sky. The RMT don't leave sky, and usually only send 1-3 different people back to Jeuno to use the AH.Originally Posted by divisortheory

tbh i don't see how this is going to "check" gilsellers, obviously you're going to have to be past some point in the CoP story (probably finished it). how many of the sky gilsellers actually have sea? none that i know of, cos they only do RoZ missionsOriginally Posted by Dustybrown
Science damn it, you people are the biggest batch of whiners who have ever whined in the history of man.
Square: "Here you go folks, here's a big bag of win."
Whiner1: "Why didn't we get this two years ago?"
Whiner2: "Sure it's win, but I'm allergic to win."
Whiner3: "RMT can use it, even though they never ever leave sky so my point is moot, but I like to whine to hear myself whine."
Whiner4: "My toes are cold."
Whiner5: "How I mine for fish?"
Seriously, do you people even listen to yourselves? What if the requirement to get to sky through the halls of transference is beating sky and/or through a significant portion of CoP? There is a good chance that either of those could be a requirement, and we know damn well that would exclude 99% of all gil farmers. (And probably at least 75% of you whiners. Hey, but that's something else to whine about.)
There is not an item on that list that is not win, super-win, ultra-win, ninja-thunder-magazord-win, yet somehow people manage to find something to bitch, moan, and complain about. Do you know how annoyed I am to have logged in for the sole purpose of chastising people for being annoying? Seriously, just shut up.
And that's more proof than just looking at who is always in sky? How the fuck do people still not understand? It's been over a year. SE has constantly, repeatedly, continuously said that there is nothing they can or will do against people who do not use "illicit measures" to gain in-game advantages (read: hacks). Is warping to sky a hack? Is standing in the Ulli room for 24 hours a hack? It's so easy to understand, yet every time SE even takes a shit people are like "OMFG I BET THEY'RE DOING THIS SO THEY CAN TRACK RMT". It has nothing to do with RMT, it's completely fucking unrelated. In fact, nothing they ever have done, are doing, or will do is related to RMT. The only thing they care about is hacks.Originally Posted by grover
