    I'll save time and make sure my in-laws are hobos just to be safe. I normally don't like duck since it has so little meat on it whenever I buy one, but with this few people it'd probably be okay.

    Suddenly I have more respect for turkeys.

    Traditionally, everyone starts shopping for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, which is always a friday. That's also why the retail people are making noise about how long they have to work tomorrow.

    it's true a large duck will only feed four people at best, and it is more expensive than other poultry, but buying two ducks isn't so bad if it's only once a year. this is also why duck pancakes from chinese take-away/restaurant are so expensive D:
    last year i cooked a duck for (non-secular holiday) christmas, i wasn't in the right mood to carve it though, so 5~ppl didn't get quite enough meat ><;

    depending on what kind of farms or shops you have nearby it is possible to get pheasant and other game-birds. so there a lot of choices other than turkey.

    That makes no sense whatsoever.

    Oh, to keep your turkey moist, brine it beforehand and you're golden. Also don't stuff the bird with stuffing because then you have to cook it longer to make sure the stuffing is safe. Instead, do what someone already mentioned and stuff it with apples and carrots.

    The Jewish thing is something I mentioned on vent last night about a customer at work. Some lady said "Happy Thanksgiving." to me, then to him and he said "I'm Jewish, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving."

    Win, and awesome avatar.

    Fucking huge turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, lots of gravy, beer, wine, ice cream and apple crisp for dessert, god this day owns, overuse of commas, can't wait for xmas because that is the second best meal of the year.

    3 football games doesn't hurt either.

    When I hear Turducken, and see something like this, it doesn't seem so delicious.

    Looks like there's shit everywhere.
