The last time we did KS99BC with a Wyrm, we wiped around 40% hp left. After he was in flight mode and spammed the spike/breath. We zombied for a while but the last blow is the mass drawn-in and then breath ... everybody was grilled altogheter.

The question is should we try this again or change to K. Behemoth / K. Turtle instead. Any idea or strategy for each BC ?

Do wyrm only if you really want to try for wyrm beard.

If you can't keep wyrm locked down while he's in flight, then its probably going to be a wipe. This usually leaves you stuck with Chainspell-Stun. Pound on the nukes hard, and two RDM/DRK's should be enough to last the duration of flight.

In the few times that we have wiped, zombie tactics were impossible. Draw-in and instant pwnage is enough to keep you from recouping. This means you only have one real shot to win.

Well, I'm sure there are other strategies out there, but thats how we do it and its been working so far.

On the other hand, KB KS99 is very easy if you have any experience at all with real KB. Just keep kiting (captain obvious statement, but you'd be surprised at how many idiots will just stand there), have tanks that know how to not get stuck in corners, and have RDM's who can land gravity. After that its as simple as keeping the dmg on and not getting meteored.

Turtle KS99 I can't help you with. I heard that the blm resist nerf made this one a huge pain in the ass, but I'm sure its still beatable one way or another.

That's the group we went with. Was actually more of a way to test NIN/BRD, just after the update and Raptor Mazurka came out. I was backup tank on WHM/NIN... didn't end up doing anything.

NIN in full Tia style fire resist in the air, BLMs stay behind the Wyrm and people scatter; enough people in singing range (the WHM, RDM, SMN, and BRDS I think was all we had at feet; and one BRD swapped PTs for ballads on BLMs) while on ground for Mazurka spam to keep hate. I don't have details on the NIN's gear, but he kept hate, and BLMs free nuked. Was really remarkably easy. Did it twice, so it wasn't like a one time fluke either.

Was also before one of our BRDs, Yuchi, had Gjallarhorn.

If we did it again, I wouldn't bother with the /NIN... except perhaps if it was a different NIN. Demetrius was also our choice for NIN tank for our 6 Ouryus in 3 hrs last night, and with good cause.

We couldn't find that many BLMs... Our strategy was to use RNGs arrow burn it. The damage was like 100-200 including holy effect per shot. Well, a NIN/BRD should be a nice tactic. However, we don't have unlocked relic horn ...

Any idea with Turtle BC ?

I said the BC was *before* Yuchi got her Gjallarhorn, so you don't have to have it.

I only mentioned it so that people wouldn't come in and be like 'relic horn cheat' or something, since I posted Yuchi has gotten it in the Relic thread thing that isn't updated anymore. The BLMs weren't getting 7-10 MP a tick, just 3. The NIN obviously didn't need it; I could have used the relic ballad though, ugh. :/

Yeah, we're actually a smallish linkshell (notice only 11 at this run), but like 95% of our members have BLM75. Everyone in that list who *isn't* a BLM also has BLM - except the SMN.

I do enm weekly as do other people, and we haven't seen more than 3 cloud evokers since Ouryu was released..

How do people get enough to do it as a routine?

We may have like, one more person with one. Not entirely sure. Then we wait ages and ages until we do this again. :D

go all out on it with blm smn rng when in air, try to get it down again...
