Because people like arguing about colors.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus

There is only one way to solve this: To perform a chromatic cleansing. Time to systematically gather all those who don't agree that it's blue, and "educate" them. When this is over, the world will be a better place... a cleaner place, full of only those with perfect eyes and a pure perception of color. The truecolor race.
holy shit lol, omg I made a typo therefore i must be illiterate right?!Originally Posted by Ryko
You're thinking way too hard there, buddy.

I'm writing a paper actually, just skimming here at the moment.
Why are you people acting as if the Adaman Hauberk is one solid color? Did it ever occur to you that it's supposed to look like a rough, matte finish blue, and they're using MAYBE some darker colors to make it appear rough?
That said, it looks blue to me, and that Skyyla claims is a "Very contrasting purple"... I suggest you get your eyes checked.. a very distinct contrast? It looks a shade or two darker than the backround.
As ryko said.. a very contrasting color, would be like.. Yellow on black, or Red on Blue.
You can't see a distinction in the color, and you're telling me to get my eye's checked? lolOriginally Posted by Zypher
You are right though, yellow on black would be very contrasting colors. Just like to someone who is proficient at color discrimination can see a distinct difference between the background of the picture and the color of the adaberk.
Did you even read what I said? Lemme put it in bold for you. It looks a shade or two darker than the backround.Originally Posted by Skyylya
I do see a difference, but uhh.. that's because they're not exactly the same color. One is darker than the other. Hardly a "Very contrasting" color difference.
He sees a slight difference in the shade, of course, but he is questioning the "very contrasting" part of it.Originally Posted by Skyylya

RED
RED
I'm sure people see a distinct difference between these two colors, but they're hardly "very contrasting".
PURPLE
BLUE

You've read a BG thread and therefore know what you're talking about right?Originally Posted by Zypher
You know that peoples brains develope differently and that two people can have vastly different perceptions of the same color. You know that one person can look at white next to baje and see no difference whatsoever, and another person could tell you to within a millimeter where the color changes if the images were adjacent.
Have you ever heard of perfect pitch? Well think of it in terms of vision. Some people can hear two notes and be able to tell you whether or not you're hearing a B or a C flat, because their brains are better developed in the temporal lobe. Well in terms of vision, someone people have better developed occipital lobes and can distinguish colors and see a bigger contrast than others.
In the human visual system, what you just showed in those reds is called contrast. Seeing a distinct difference between colors is the exact same thing as seeing two contrasting colors.Originally Posted by Khamsin
So then how is your my ability to tell the difference between a "VERY CONTRASTING" color, and a color that's just a shade or two darker, wrong? Notice you're the only one seeing a very contrasting difference between those two colors?Originally Posted by Skyylya

That's contrast. What you claim is a very contrasting color, well.. isn't.

THE COLORS ARE BARELY DIFFERENT
YOU DON'T HAVE THE FUCKING SHINING
ok...it isn't in your eye's. That doesn't mean squat to anyone else. half the people here don't see a contrast, half the people do that's why the vote is pretty much split down the middle.Originally Posted by Zypher
I gaurantee if you find someone who has perfect pitch, and you play them a chord that is dissonant from another by even a half-step on one of the notes they'll tell you it's a huge difference to the point where it almost hurts them. Find someone else who does not have perfect pitch and play for them the two same chords differing by merely a half-step on one note and they couldn't even tell them apart.
Fixed and peewee'dok...it is in your eyes. That doesn't mean squat to anyone else.
I'm sorry have we met? cause you sure seem to know an awful lot about my ability to discriminate between colors.Originally Posted by Priran

(Psst, they're barely different to everyone who's bothered to post on the subject but you.)
