You are right though, yellow on black would be very contrasting colors. Just like to someone who is proficient at color discrimination can see a distinct difference between the background of the picture and the color of the adaberk.

He sees a slight difference in the shade, of course, but he is questioning the "very contrasting" part of it.

In the human visual system, what you just showed in those reds is called contrast. Seeing a distinct difference between colors is the exact same thing as seeing two contrasting colors.

Half the people see what you claim is a distinct contrast? As if this thread is based on that one picture that you claim has two very contrasting colors, but it's not. Even if it were, you're the only one seeing that.

Also, stop trying to manipulate the conversation, stop with the perfect pitch talk, we're talking about colors, period. There is no huge contrast, end of discussion.

And as far as the hauberk goes, it's blue, it was meant to be blue, regardless of what colors you can, or can't pull out of it on photoshop.

You could take warrior AF, and pull brown out of the red or even maroon, does that means it's brown, does that mean it's maroon? No, they used other colors for shading purposes. If you check out WAR AF, you'll find actual red NO WHERE in the AF. The combination of different colors, and different shades, creates the red that you see, even though the color you see, is actually no where in the armor. Your brain takes in the color as a whole. Regardless of what colors are used to create it.

Simply put, no armor in the game is made up of one color, but they are still meant to be seen as a certain color. The armors were not just painted using MS Paint.

Sound and vision are both stimuli interpreted by the brain. Some people have better developed brain areas than others, hence the perfect pitch since you weren't understanding what was said about the color wavelengths.
