To answer the question, apparently [R:75 G:0 B:130] is accepted to be "purple," oh wait, it's called indigo.
As well as the color of an Adaman Hauberk.Originally Posted by NynJa

Hey miokomioko, I hope you realize that color labels were created way before your holy comp numbers.
People called tulips (certain kinds of course) purple before some idiots decided that purple doesn't exist.
We're welcome to think something is purple if we see it as what purple was (and should be imo) labelled as. I honestly don't care what some programming geeks decided to label them as, it doesn't make purple non-existent. So get the red out of your panties and chill just because people aren't all photographic snobs like you.
And it's purple at that!
and I agree with you. However, by us agreeing that it isn't blue, we're uneducated retards.Originally Posted by Charitwo

Sorry NynJa but your lolpup is in a different thread.
He was being a sarcastic smart ass making a point. Mio said purple wasn't a digital color because technically, only "x" amount of colors are represented by the RGB scale. Mio's whole argument is this "technically, only 8 colors exist, so every color is a bluish,Yellow, 30%mixed with indigo, mixed with 20% red". Technically, you cannot apply a name to anything outside the RGB scale, so therefore, technically, since purple doesn't exist, it cannot be purple.Originally Posted by Jeryhn
On a side note, this thread is epic.
Such a small topic created so much entertainment. :D
I'm tempted to change my vote to red and claim it's what santa wears nowadays. Oo

And, to Ksandra, we aren't talking about the color of a woman's dress in a Manet. We are talking about a digital image. The Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage decided it. Take it up with the French if you don't agree with them about what is blue and what is purple, I mean indigo, I mean blue-magenta.
Crayola would call it purple, and crayola owns you in the face.
WAIT WUT YOU MEAN BLACK AND WHITE EXIST ?!?!?Originally Posted by miokomioko

wonder how many are just argueing for the sake of keeping a dumb arguement going.
