Actually, it's on this scale.

That is Adaman Hauberk. While it may fall within the realm of blue number-wise, it doesn't look blue to many people because of its level of desaturation.
29.41% Red 75
25.49% Green 65
45.35% Blue 108
I seriously do not understand what the huge argument is about? Even if you are right you are wrong because it is all about people's opinions of what a color looks like. Seriously, why has this reached 40 pages, and how long until I lock it?[/quote:d0ee6]
because there hasn't been a Yin derail yet[/quote:d0ee6]
Whatever happened to good old fashioned galka porn derails?
Galka porn might actually be better on my eyes than all these colors.
Besides just inputting the same RGB values, is there another way to tell if other people are actually seeing the same color? Because this looks purple to me. Not a bright purple, but still.Originally Posted by Septimus

well, if thats the case, all colors is equivalent to a rainbow, and rainbows designate homosexuals.Originally Posted by Immortaldonut

Ass.
It may appear purple to you, but rest assured it really isn't.Originally Posted by Jer
I can tell from the reds and the greens and having seen quite a few colors in my time.
The R and G are values are too close, hell even calling it R:70 G:70 is good enough, its only +/- 5, and 5 out of 255 is nearly imperceptible without a side-by-side comparison. Comparatively, the B is significantly more different from the R and G, than they are from each other, giving it a blue hue. The R and G being virtually the same just desaturates it, and a desaturated blue does appear purplish even though there is not really any more red than green to it, and so technically is not purple even if it may appear so to some.
I didn't think anything could top the Goblin Woflman theories thread.
This is awesome.
BG is just going to have to make a blue people and purple people forum. Too bad Blurple wasn't an option since this poll started.

That's the thing, if one of the colors was at 255, it would matter. But it's not. 10/255 is a small percentage, while 10/100 is larger. I guess I have been wrong in believe the teachings that blue and red make purple. All that I have believed is purple is false.
This is the OrderofthePurpleGartr Forums right?

By that logic, 0 0 2 and 1 0 2 should be a HUGE difference, afterall, 1 is HALF of 2! Way bigger than just 1/100 or 1/255.Originally Posted by Jer
It doesn't work that way, 5/255 is still 5/255, not 5/100 or 5/brightestcolor.
It's still purple.
Ok, that was just a smartass comment. It doesnt' matter if the color is already so you wouldn't be able to see any difference. On that note, did you even bother to see what the color I quoted looks like? It's not the one you were posting. If so, it really is a lost cause.Originally Posted by Khamsin

For a little emphasis. Just because it may be technically blue, it does not mean that it will appear blue to all people on all monitors in all conditions. This is the point, it has nothing to do with number, it is all the perception of the human mind.Originally Posted by Khamsin
