Really you should get a snes emulater, and DL it. I remember getting the PS version for it and chrono trigger and loading times were WTF awful too.

Yeah, I got all of those Anthology games. FF4, 5, 6, Chrono Trigger, etc. I could stomach 4 and 5's load times, but 6 and CT's were balls. I have the CT cartridge for the SNES, so I was lucky to have finished it before sticking my dick into the PS load time blender.

Personally, even tho 6 was a better game, I still like 5 more. It's more accessible; I can turn it on and play for 15 minutes and get something done. Job system ftw as well: you can be very creative with jobs/abilities to move ahead in the game storyline quickly, or you can just hang out and pump your stats.

Recently been playing 5 a lot since I got the GBA cart...one night I'll be in the mood for story so I'll put everyone on mainjob/barehand and just steamroll through with my whms doing as much damage as my wars/ninjas/mysticknights...another night I'll spend hours in one location trying to learn a new blue spell. Whatever I feel like, I can do it.

Looking forward to ff6 (again)...buy the GBA version and help keep Linsivi employed.

Even though it's not technically a FF game (it was a Saga series game in Japan, was renamed to Final Fantasy in America to sell more copies), FF Legend 2 for the original Gameboy is still my favorite FF <.<

Fact: FF6 was made using techniques honed from around 7 years of making 2d Final Fantasies while FF7 was the team's first attempt at a 3d Final Fantasy.
Opinion: FF6 is a much prettier game because they knew wtf they were doing with 2d and FF7 was playing with untested 3d graphics.

To the retard who thinks this game is too easy/shitty/whatever because you can hit 8 times per turn, have you ever played post-game in a console RPG? You can always crazy overpower your characters at the end if you feel like it.

And how the fuck am I supposed to know Gilgamesh is end-game if I've never played past the raft part? News flash, not every Square RPG that allows you to have 9999 HP means you're at the end-game.

I couldn't handle the load times on the Playstation version, or maybe I would've finished it . I'm surprised I made it through FF4 for the PS. The GBA version was superior in every way.

I bought FF4/5 for PS1 since we didn't get them released on SNES here, and my god what a mistake that was. The game frequently would load battle music only while the battle was ending, the sprites took their time to load, I was constantly waiting 30 seconds at a black screen waiting for a random battle...

PS1 FF4/5/6 were crimes, SE should never have released them how they are.

Yeah, GBA cartridges can be played on your DS.

Considering I have DS FF III and GBA FF V on mine right now, not only can you use them, you can plug in a GBA and DS cart at the same time.

(which if one detected the other could be a cool way to unlock stuff)

But I feel IV is the most fun out of all FF's I have played, and the most difficult.
It is the first time there was really a story, and not just "Warrior" and "Black Mage" as the names of characters.

I think you misinterpreted what I meant. I loved FFIV the game, especially the GBA version but I hated the load times and glitches in the ps1 version.

By far my favorite FF. When I bought FF3 for SNES (It was FFIII when I bought it and played it, so it's FF3 to me) I thought it was the hardest game ever. I went back and played a ROM of it about a year ago and breezed through it.
