Surprizingly, Borat actually took quite a bit of money to make, more then you would think, but yeah, no where near the big movies.

Seeing as how it's grossed over 115million domestic, and will probably end up at around 250~300mil worldwide, I'd say it's production cost is not even 10% of it's worldwide gross, which is phoenominal. Most companies shoot for production cost at 50% of total gross (i.e. takes 50mil to make and they bring in 100mil)...
