I would say that if you spawn more than 1 Diabolos don't even bother fighting them, it's a real bitch with more than 1, why waste time you could spend farming.
I can 100% definitely confirm we got Brd AF2-1 Legs from the 3rd floor Hornets. The 3rd floor TE was the only one we attempted to go to, and the only mobs we fought our entire run were on the 3rd floor, aside from the Worm.
We got them in the northern passageway from the 2nd Hornet pull, I do not know offhand whether it was the large hornet or the small hornets which dropped it.
Absolutely positively guarentee.
Two Diabolos are easy to handle. Both times we've won, we've fought 2. One paladin tanks one while the ally fights another. After killing one, the ally can rest to full while the paladin is still tanking. Devotion pays off well here.
I agree with you completely (although I'd probably try 2 personally if it came to that). I also think you should do all the time extensions and go for the clear at the very end. My point was the plan is slightly different when it's your first time in the zone, because you're going to have the added pressure of people who really want to try fighting Diabolos. And you know if they pop more than one they'll still have a ton of people crying "c'mon we can do this!" might as well plan for it.Originally Posted by Garret
We attempted to fight two. The problem we ran into was the 2nd one we spawned was Heart and we had only 2 tanks; Pld & Nin.
I think Spade was the one we tried to actively fight, with our Pld (me), and we tried to have the Nin hold Heart. The first thing Heart did was cast Death on the Ninja, and after that he basically proceeded to fuck up the mages.
We held on for a while & brought Spade to about 20% HP or so before wiping.
First time we fought 2 it was Club(SW corner) and Heart(SE corner). We held Club and killed Heart first. Second time it was Club and whichever pops in the NE corner. Again, held Club. The one in the NE corner proved really annoying since at one point it went into the ceiling and none of our melee could attack it.
Next time we go, we're gonna try to kill all 4.

Its nice to know that in the absence of death, nightmare or charm, a single pld can hold a diabolos near indefinitely.
Well SE added a system in which you can virtually "choose" how many bosses you want to add some challenge and apparently added no title for the complete win, nor any additional cutscene. So i really think there HAS to be something, like increasing the drop rate on items, i don't know.
And since this game is so random, an increase in drop rates, if it's not highly consequent, will be very very hard to prove with Dynamis 3 days timer and the cost on 1 million for each run to test stuff, considering no LS will focus on Tavnazia ONLY since they're all on the same timer.
How great it would have been if CoP Dynamis had its own timer separated from the Hydra Corps storyline...
Come on, this is SE...and not only that, CoP-era SE...would you be surprised at all if killing all 4 diabolos gave you jack shit?
I believe there is a title added in the dynamis tav update that nobody has received yet that may be tied to beating all 4 shards.. Who knows though.Originally Posted by Kuropiko

The following titles were added during the same update as Dynamis-Tavnazia. Note that the avatar alliance BCNMs were added in the same patch.
Dynamis-Tavnazia Interloper (Rewarded for clicking the ??? after killing all spawned Diaboloses)
Confronter of Nightmares (Rewarded for viewing the conclusion cutscene at the Heiroglyphics after winning)
Disturber of Slumber (Rewarded for choosing "yes" after winning the Carbuncle alliance BCNM)
Interrupter of Dreams (Rewarded for choosing "no" after winning the Carbuncle alliance BCNM)
Nightmare Awakener (Rewarded to the alliance with a Diabolos Card killshot)
There are no missing titles from that patch.
Also, I am a little unclear about the actual Diabolos NPCs........
If you aggro one it spawns the card or w/e in its place and the card will aggro you right away? I'm sure I'll see these as soon as I try the zone, but just want to have a little insight prior to trying.
The 4 exits to outdoors(with those fuzzy portals blocking you) are the 4 pop spots for each. They do not aggro until you actually move to it, and it will then aggro any other Diabolos up as well. For every Diabolos you pop beyond the 1st (from aggroing the NPC's), each NM will lose 25% HP and start the fight that way too.Originally Posted by Seditedi
Yeah actually if you "aggro" a NPC it will just say something and fly towards the exit, disappear and a Diabolos card will appear at one zone. They don't aggro from very far, you can have your alliance stand in the middle of the "exit" room to buff yourselves.Originally Posted by Koyangi
They don't really lose 25% for each one actually, one Diabolos will be at 100%, two of them will be at 66%, three at 50% and 4 at 33%.
All the cards popped will aggro you when you attack one, and the last NPCs will still be up and aggroable until every card popped is killed or depopped (they depop if you lose, going away with your chance for the clear).
they don't aggro at all, you can sit under them and they wont aggro (The main diabolos's, not the umbrals)
ahh, ok, thanks for the info.
