Interception #2 for Casey Dick and the Razorbacks. God our quarterback sucks.

We recruited the MOST RECRUITED HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR IN THE NATION for quarterback. Except we play our shitty ass quarterback who goes like 5/20 with two interceptions or some shit.

lolusc. I called that about 3 weeks ago. In regards to Arkansas my lollarkansas theory is going as planned as well. Outside of Michigan it really doesnt matter who plays OSU at this point.

In regards to Chris Leak I think its more a product of Urban Myers run and gun system. Leak was a recruit of Ron Zook and his pure passing scheme as opposed to this wannabe Tom Osbourne option bullshit. I went to school with Chris and his older brother from the 4th grade up but a homer I am not. Just stating facts. Our high school is a pure passing team and they both hold state records, I think the Ron Zook fiasco did this current team in.

Zook failed but he had a good system in place, much better than this option hybrid bullshit they are running now. As a life long Gator fan it fucking sickens me. Utah was successful with the same offense but we all know that the WAC is nowhere near the SEC in talent. Even then they had the same struggles from time to time in an inferior conference. Look at the Tebow cock gobbling going on, that says it all. All he runs is the QB draw play but he is already being annointed the next college football legend.

Meyers system sucks. It's as simple as that.

    lolusc.

Nonono, Notre Dame has to finish in the TOP 8 to get an auto BCS bid. They're 10 now, I don't think they're going to jump up. They'll get an at-large bid because they're Notre Dame, and the BCS is a popularity contest, which is fucking lame.

However, Wisconsin gets fucked not because of Notre Dame, but because of the "only two teams from one major conference gets to go to a BCS game" bullshit.

I was referring to the teams like Oklahoma you mentioned, aka a major conference champion (assuming they hold on over Nebraska) with a worse record than Wisconsin. And when it came down to it, your popularity contest, Notre Dame would get picked, hypothetically, waaaaay before Wisconsin, neglecting any top 8 (I thought it was top 10?) or 3-team-same-conference rule, not that I support it, just saying..

As for the Michigan vs Florida debate.. I thought the map from the poll on ESPN's site was kinda cool.. I know it's rapidly changing, but as of now, votes from Ohio would rather play Florida. Michigan is still up by a lot overall, but it'll be interesting to see if that swings now that SEC game is over.

Yea but congratulations nonetheless. ^^ I have always said that USC has and will continue to have one of the cakest schedules of any "Top tier" elite team in the country. I am sure ECPI, Oregon St. College of arts and Cal. St community college are all excellent institutions in their own respective rights but USC does nothing but pad themselves year in and year out to inferior talent on the football field.

True, UCLA may not be on their level per se, but they play USC very very well and have in recent years.

I am a buckeye fan and personally I would rather play anyone but Michigan. Not just because I think we will pretty much roll over anyone else (arkansas and oklahoma are about the only teams I think that had speed enough to keep up) but also because thats like the game of the year for us. It doesn't matter if we go 0-9; 0-10 going into that game, if we beat Michigan its considered a season that ended well. The BCS is watering down what made college football so popular, 1 time a year in the snow, rain or sun you play your rival. You win some and lose some but you do it once a year and you base your season on that. As far as I am concerned the national championship was already played in Columbus this year.

Holy crap, it's been a while since I've seen a statement so egregiously ludicrous from someone who can actually spell. It's not even a matter of opinion.

First, let's examine the six computer rankings from this year (all readings were from before this week's games). * USC's national strength of schedule rank in six the five computer polls that publish SOS: 9, 32, 4, 1, 3, ?. That's an average of less than 10. If you throw out the outlier (whose SOS makes no sense to anyone, check out the Billingsley SOS for
    a /huh? ), that's an average of 4.5, nationally.

I have always said that USC has and will continue to have one of the cakest schedules of any "Top tier" elite team in the country. USC does nothing but pad themselves year in and year out to inferior talent on the football field.
    USC non-conference schedules:
2002: vs. Auburn, @ Colorado, @ Kansas State, vs. Notre Dame
    2003: @ Auburn, BYU, Hawaii, @Notre Dame
2004: vs. Virginia Tech, vs. Colorado State, @BYU, vs. Notre Dame
2005: @Hawaii, vs. Arkansas, @Notre Dame, vs. Fresno State
    2006: @Arkansas, vs. Nebraska, @Notre Dame
    2007: @Nebraska, @Notre Dame, vs. Idaho
2008/2009: home and home vs. Ohio State

Who is your favorite team? Let's do a comparative study of USC's non-conference schedule vs. yours. If you can find me a definitively stronger non-conference schedule over this same time period, I will Paypal you $5.

Oh, the Pac-10 makes them weak! That's it! The Pac-10 sucks! Let's examine the Pac-10's conference rank in the six computer rankings: 1, 4, 4, 1, 2, 3. That's an average of 2.5, higher only than the SEC's average of 2.333. Yes, they definitely suck.

There is a good argument for a lot of things in the BCS (i.e. USC being over-rated, which I *wouldn't* disagree with), but your statement is just flat out incorrect and uneducated. You should really know what you are talking about before you type in lieu of making yourself look foolish.

(A nice link to all of the computer rankings can be found here: http://www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/rankings ).

(EDIT: Let's exclude ND from the $5 paypal bet since they have no conference)

lol. I totally was not expecting to literally ruffle any feathers so early this morning but meh, that deserves a "lol". It was not to be taken as if it were the new gospel, it was merely a one sided, totally biased look at the Trojans from someone not actually in CA. Its a known fact that USC fans are blindly loyal to a fault to their beloved Trojans and I can respect that, but you can throw all the numbers and Corso-isms at me all you want but it will do little to sway my opinion towards USC.

I live in North Carolina and we all know the ACC in football is a steaming pile of garbage. It was the same in the 90's when FSU joined the ACC and played fucking 0-27 Duke, Carolina and Virginia and was perpetually in the top 3 in the polls. Now I know some facts are spoken in complete jest but this is not one of those situations. I do not get USC games on the east coast, but what I do see of them when I get home from work is them pummeling some unsuspecting JUCO school or Technolgy institute's JV squad.

I am a die hard Gator fan in every sense of the word, but at the same time I am a realist. If they play OSU I personally think they will get thoroughly waxed. Chaulk it up to East Coast biased (We all see USC as a joke) but I stand by my opinion. Just take what I say with a grain of salt because truthfully, you and I could dance all day about this. D:

There are perfectly acceptable opinions. Seeing USC as a joke is an opinion I wouldn't attack, for instance, despite the fact I don't agree with it (I'm a Pac-10 guy, but generally dislike USC for the same reason other AL teams dislike the Yankees). USC seems to have motivation problems this year -- every game that was against a big team was not close, whereas they had losses to (just now ranked) Oregon State and unranked UCLA, and had close games against lower division Pac-10 teams WSU, UW and ASU. Yet they decisively beat Oregon, Nebraska Cal, Notre Dame, and Arkansas, who were all hyped before the game, and clearly better teams (as a group) than the previous five. I had thought they had turned the corner before last week. I was wrong, apparently. Good team? Yes. Top 10 team? Probably. National championship caliber team? Obviously not.

I do not get USC games on the east coast, but what I do see of them when I get home from work is them pummeling some unsuspecting JUCO school or Technolgy institute's JV squad.
And which games have you watched in the last two years? Hell, the least six years? Other than conference foe Stanford, I don't see a team on their schedule comparable to any of those "schools" you mentioned.

Next year, USC does have Idaho, I suppose. The Gators pad their schedule this year with Central Florida and I-AA 2-9 West Carolina. and next year they host Central Florida, Troy and Florida Atlantic. 2005? Wyoming and Louisiana Tech. They do have Florida State every year, which is a perfectly respectable rivalry game. But USC plays significant non-conference foes more often that not. Their one rivalry non-conference game with Notre Dame is not the exception but the rule.

Saying they pad their schedule with weak teams? It might be an opinion, but it's factually incorrect. The rest of your statements seem reasonable and thought out, that one, however, is just blatantly wrong. I can ignore most opinions (blue v purple?), but opinions that are so easily proven 100% wrong deserve some mention.

A good stat to remember is that Notre Dame has not won a bowl game since 1994. That goes a long way in saying that they keep getting put in games they don't belong in.

It is beyond me how Wisconsin has been so ignored all year considering they only lost at Michigan. I'm not just talking about the BCS either. You would think Wisconsin was 8-5 with how little media attention they have been given.

Posted in the other thread, the Michigan/Florida comparison from an article on espn.com touched on Wisconsin a bit.. and you can sorta see why they don't get much mention. Blame their schedule; they played jack shit except Michigan, to whom they lost.

    4. Michigan's best win is considered a 27-13 victory over Wisconsin on Sept. 23. The Badgers are 11-1 and have climbed to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll, despite having played only one ranked opponent -- the Wolverines -- the entire season.

Wisconsin has also been ignored by the media because they can't get into a BCS game due to the "two teams per conference" rule. Teams who are not in the BCS hunt towards the end of the season get ignored by the media. Had Ohio State or Michigan not be a guaranteed entrant into the BCS, you would heard a lot more about Wisconsin recently.

Had Wisconsin beaten Michigan, you would probably have two undefeated Big 10 teams in the national championship game. A similar situation happened once before, in 2002-3 (I believe), when Ohio State and Iowa both went 8-0 in the Big 10, but Iowa had lost a non-conference game, to give OSU the Orange Bowl berth.

In my opinion, the Big 10 has too many teams to have a reasonable round robin, they should add another team and have a conference title game. For instance, Purdue missed Ohio State AND Michigan this year. That shouldn't happen.

Even if one of the two were out of the picture, 11 junk wins probably wouldn't get them anywhere, and I already said earlier another team and a conference champion would help a lot. Say OSU was a .500 team this year, and USC was undefeated, the clear decision for one of the spots in the BCS title game, but a non-Big 10 team, and you still had Florida/Michigan.. or any team+Michigan fighting for the No.2 spot, a resume like Wisconsin's this year wouldn't get them a BCS bid (as again they still wouldn't be the Big 10 Champion for an auto-bid). Ignoring 3 team rule, Wisconsin doesn't really have anything to complain about this year.. they didn't play much and didn't have the chance to showcase much, outside of the Michigan game, where they failed to.

A round-robin attempt in an 11-team conference for a conference champion is another problem all its own, but 3-team rule or not, Wisconsin doesn't really deserve a BCS spot.
