Its pathetic to see that people cant grip something in their hands and keep it from flying out.

there was a report on the local fox news last night about some guy that slashed his hand wide open on the wii controller.

i got intrigued and watched it, wondering how a smooth plastic rectangler with no sharp edges can require someone to need 30 stitches.

the idiot lost grip on his controller, he was drunk and didnt have the strap on his wrist. He cut his hand because he thru the thing so damn hard into his flat screen TV the glass broke up and he reached inside it to pull out the controller... cutting himself on the glass.

<_____> idiot could have electrocuted himself...

the wii isnt dangerous - drunk ass idiots are lol ;x

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

LOL too funny, you'd think that Nintendo would have put rubber hand grips on the wii. Our friend got his son a Wii last week for his b-day. After seeing how smooth that controller is, I'm not surprised people have it flying out of their hands all over the place.

Most guys should know how to properly handly a smooth rectangle like object between their hands.

You must be talking about a remote control, right?

This is going to pose a problem for nintendo.

They will definetly have many liability claims on their hands.

Whether or not they wind up paying any compensation is another thing, yet people will try to sue, and rightfully so.

It's in obvious need of a heavy duty strap and rubber gripping, and an exclusion clause on it.

    "We're not responsible for retards"

when problems like this arise where there is liability involved, companies see whether its more cost efficient to pay out any and all claims, or have a recall done on the products to correct it.

Considering the controller and games are designed so that movement is possible with the slightest flick of your wrist, I don't see how they're responsible for people wailing their arms about like morons.

Embarrassingly enough, when I wrote that it was like 2:30 in the morning and I had no idea that I was inadvertantly making a pun until you guys caught it. I was seriously just trying to say that this Wiimote projectile business is getting ridiculous. XD

    I agree with Xavier.

Nintendo shouldn't be responsible for people being fucking idiots and throwing the controller as hard as they possibly can at the screen. When I play, I lay on my bed and just flick the controller and usually beat whoever is doing the full motions that are ridiculously over exaggerated.

People have already tried to sue Nintendo and failed horribly. They arnt responsible for what idiots do with their products.

If someone is playing rl baseball and loses his grip sending the bat flying and killing an innocent child, you cant sue the product maker for your own inablities to hold an object.

But, apparently you can sue a chainsaw manufacturer for attempting to stop the blades of the chainsaw with your genitals.

Come to think of it, I forgot where I read that.

EDIT: I think that might've been in one those stupid chain emails.

Customer: "Boo hoo, I'm an idiot and broke my shit!"
    Nintendo: "lol."
