It's in obvious need of a heavy duty strap and rubber gripping, and an exclusion clause on it.

    "We're not responsible for retards"

when problems like this arise where there is liability involved, companies see whether its more cost efficient to pay out any and all claims, or have a recall done on the products to correct it.
One of my friends is going for his law major and they actually looked at these cases last week, people who purposely broke their shit with the flying Wiimotes. Basically if I remember correctly Nintendo isn't liable for what happens because of what is guidelined in the manual.

I'm kinda pissed at the bowling game because irl I bowl with both hands depending on the situation...but I can't with the wii because it doesn't register that I switched hands.

The only thing I've done so far is when playing tennis, I was being really aggresive at the net and unconsciously I was edging forward, and I swung and scratched my screen...but it's a normal tv so no harm, no foul.

It sounds like the only thing Nintendo is guilty of is getting gamers overly excited in the games they're playing.

I don't have a Wii or have bothered to care enough to read any exclusions they have in regards to projectile remote tossing, I was just stating thats very much a reality people will try to sue them regardless.

Thats why big companies like nintendo have legal teams who I one would assume covered any liability issues before they release such a thing as the Wiimote.

This is still funny shit though

These people need to get a grip. (sigh)

Yeah, it's pretty much a given that such a company is going to take this scenario into consideration farrrrrrr before the product ever hits the market. You can't help but learn from legendary toys like Lawn Darts.

Replacing the straps free of charge is them being courteous as probably an afterthought because their target market ended up being more retarded than they originally expected. I scoff at anyone who thinks Nintendo is liable for their precious plasma screen because they wanted to be the alpha male and break a 95 mph pitch in Wii Baseball without holding on to the controller.

After an hour or 2 of swinging that thing around furiously... hands get sweaty, soorta like doing a full body motion with it. Talk about exercising while playing a game O_o

You also don't HAVE to swing it that hard.

You dont actually have to throw or swing hard for the ball to go fast, or to hit a homerun. You just have to have fast wrist motion

I call BS on that article, the Wii didn't even come out here until the 2nd of December..

Though I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

Edit: OK nevermind I'm sure I wasn't the first to point this out after looking at the rest of the site..

Yes ofcourse, it would be more fun. But don't forget to be "safe" and wear a strap!

Most of those pictures are lol, but considering they seem to get the point across pretty well, maybe they should be in the ones over here too.

    NO CHRISTMAS TREE LOL

Those are all great, obviously nintendo is aware of the possibility of smashing your friends' face and doing what they can to avoid it.

I'm pissed.. I went to EB games this weekend to look for a Wii (whole town is out of stock), and when I ask for a Wii they say none but the 14 yr old dude BEGGED me to buy one of the TWO 20gb ps3's they've had for 4 days. I couldn't believe it and started laughing hahahaha... They guy was wondering wtf was wrong with me :D

So yeah if anyone's desperate for a ps3 call the EB in longmont, CO lol, and then mail me a Wii

I'm curious under what circumstances one would stick a four-leaf clover into the back of a gaming console. Extra luck for online pwnage?

It's a well known fact that the Japanese think of the Irish as mortal enemies and the devil.

Now back in the day, the Japanese would go around killing all the Irish, but little does anyone know, when you kill an Irish man, and you cut off his penis, it turns into a four leaf clover.

If you take that clover and put it next to something/thing, it will keep them forever safe, because the Irish see that a person there has killed before, and theyll not want to risk their own life.
