Yeah, just got done with a match as blu/nin...owned this time. didn't have troubles with the gas/silence as much this time. The major diff. I think what helped me is that i still ate tav taco as /nin instead of sole sushi, and I used Actonic burst a lot more. only died once-2nd place (didn't score much, just had fun owning monks ;p)

Matches with more mnks on the other team rather than sam, drk, or /blm seem to make it much easier. In previous matches I would have like 4 drks on me and guillotine me to own me and silence me..lol

On the derailed side note... check out this picture of when I was a lower lvl blu trying to solo Frightful Roar....

The worst spell for me trying to learn was Tail Slap...took about 6 hours to learn. -_-

Resist silence trait is nice too, kinda gave me an edge since not jsut any random ??/whm could silence me. I still used genbu's sheild + dissector as sj nin so I had that added protection.

It drops from the 5 carbuncles alliance BC fight, one dropped when i did it, and some other weapon. But only at the end and after you win everyone in the alliance needs to repeat all 6 18man avatar battles to reflag, you can't just repeat it again until you do that, so good luck with that unless it drops on your first win.

For the original topic:

I like rdm sub for phalanx, sskin, blink and bar stuff. Get silenced way too much and phalanx helps aton for dmg reduction. Then wear genbu's shield and you got even more -dmg down. As for mnk being greater then blu as long as you're smart it's easy. Mnk like to run around like they have something in their ass so just stand still and spam all your macros while they get in range. As they run cannon ball them.

If the person doesn't get the win by exiting they can redo it, but I think everyone else who already won can't come in and help them anymore until they reflag completely.

They should be able to enter along with the person who logged out/dc'd so long as they completely finish the quest and do NOT go to RESTART the quest (so they'd have to leave the BC arena and then come back). That is, they go get their stupid Carbuncle's Pole or whatever, have the Quest in their finished section, and do not have any of the key items related to the quest. If they restart the quest, then they have to finish it again before they can reenter the final battle.

I think there are some (rank?) missions like that, where once you win, you can't help others with that mission until you finish the other steps in the mission.

Some people say there's only a chance of item drop per person who needs the quest completed, but I'm not sure how someone could verify something like that. Maybe if you did it like 20-40 times with this method and never saw more than 1 weapon drop per run.

/RDM has always been and will always be the best SJ for ballista Imo, even if you don't have innate enhancing magic, phalanx + cocoon are too awesome. /NIN is good and what not, but as BLU you don't even need to engage to kill someone lol, and if you are a /quarry whore like me, there's always TP wings to quarry :3

I wouldn't say that... doing savage blade and then either disseverment if the person stays for distortion, or cannonball if they run is always nice ;p

Yeah, I know all spells except for Body Slam (didn't learn it today in dynamis-xarc /cry) and about blu being better than my monk..idk I don't have crimson legs yet since we don't do sky very much; I do, however, have Herald Gaiters, Black Belt, cerb mantle +1 etc for my monk.

And btw, have full merits in Blue Magic skill, but not completed merits in the Blue Mage categories...still working on that .-.

Combat merits=6 katana, 4 H2H, and 2 lolevasion

I'll be sure to try /war in the next pash marshlands... already on /nin for jugner ;p

I could be mistaken but im pretty sure it needs to be from a mob that can "potentially yield XP" so dynamis mobs dont count... (idk, i could be wrong- i learned this move from the total-bitch red dragons in mount zhayolm)

Incorrect. I got it from Temenos Central's Enhanced Dragon, and know a few that got it from Double Dragonian. Very early on someone had posted a screenshot on ki of learning Eyes on Me from Osschart bcnm.

Dia is your friend when trying to learn blue magic from weak ass mobs... give it TP without doing too much damage
