You guys say you haven't claimed in awhile but you've also taken a break from DA for a bit until recently, if I recall correctly.

As for full-breaths (I always think they're hilarious happening to anyone, purposefully or otherwise) they can also occur if someone can't see fafnir. Don't give me that they can just stand where everyone else is, because it's such a mass at the feet of people that won't be hit and those that will, and a slight difference in position can easily mean a full breath or a partial.

We've recovered from flails and darters too, but we've also fucked up, but hey, never claimed we were invincible.

Due to like 5am camps, not claiming (whos going to stay/wake up when you have to wait on lucky wipes for claims and during school/work nights), and window not moving due to constant last window pops. It's just all around hard to get people to da lately.

It's just too much of a waste of time to show up when it's inconvenient, given our poor claim records. I do my best (casting dia only to stop and get a message saying it's claimed, and coming /war if I'm able to be thf or sam). I hate not showing up at these times, or taking a break because in my eyes it rewards botters.

wow ploid you made a post that didn't directly mention the fact that you play on ps2 or that your computer is shitty enough to not play a good game (ffxi isn't a good game by the way, it needs some of mom's leftover meatloaf and a mousepad to run even slightly better than a ps2 runs it). i don't mean to be a dick, although it seems every time i post on any forum i am being a dick, but it's something i noticed; the whole i play on a ps2 and you suck and should be banned because you don't, thing. don't mind me, per usual i'm just some asshole on the sideline.

I care not who play on ps2 or PC. I joke about it a lot sure. I hate the programs people run on pc that gives them advantages. I hate the fact that because of the way PC version was ported bots are so easy to use. People who use 3rd party tools to play this game should be banned, sure. Would I like all people that use them to be banned? Why not? Might scare people into playing fairly, and if not it will just get rid of them. Would be a win win situation. Even if I did play on PC the problem would still be there.

About the bots vs users reaction time balance. I still think bots have a edge on normal players. We have to first see faf pop, then cursor over quickly, make sure it's not a darter, then hit the button (already on the blue cursor with dia/provoke/etc ready). I'm sure a bot would do all these processes faster and without error (oops darter, oops was out of range, oops I passed over it and had to retarget, oops I was afraid* it was a darter so double checked for a split second before hitting the button).

Well, thanks to the fact that models render only when close to me, I've sorta tried to use it to my advantage. Position myself so that only one darter is visible, ctrl+j, select voke, hit enter and commence hitting tab with .5 - 1 second intervals til the window is either over or the mob pops, which I'll notice quickly since I don't look at the main screen, I stare at the little box with my targets name.

Still, to run this game optimally, you do need a pretty strong machine, simply because the engine for the PC version is so piss poor that it's horribly inefficient.

I'd just like to add one thing to this thread:

Ingwe was caught botting and he was reprimanded. How then, do you guys know that he still bots after that incident? A lot of assuming here, especially when he has not claimed much for LP in the last few weeks. Once a botter =/= always a botter.

Again twice (where's this 3 coming from?) and this essentially proves my point that even talking to the guy would prove to be pointless in terms of smoothing things over with other linkshells, since it becomes like a religion to people they can't let go.

Doesn't mean I didn't do it or that I wasn't going to do anything anyway, after all, I said I would.
