It's tame because everyone is holding everything. There's tension i'm sure, and maybe bliss for level60 all job players just playing the game to get to all of the missions/quests (sounds painful to me). I think FFXII may have eased things a bit for a lot of people. We now have one game to play, collect, challenge us (solo hunts), etc. Then a game to level jobs, and interact with other people (ffxi).

By bliss I mean there is relative calm between the end game shells and good talent is spread throughout. There is no one shell that can really be said is better than another mostly because the words 'better' and 'respectful' are all subjective. Just for example, does a ls that can kill Ouryu but not Vrtra make them better than a ls that has not killed Ourya but has defeated Vtra? It's hard to answer. Still, on Fairy, the main powerhouse shells get the same amount of claims on the end-game mobs. Most of the drama comes from the nooby shells like Playtime 8)

edit: Ryko is fantastic but there are other Fairy players who could rival him in pure melee numbers (It is possible...but you lose the sadistic but loving charm) . Of course, there is someone with an adaman hauberk in my ls that has...an Hollow Earring.

If I remember correctly, of the LSes that currently exist on Fairy, your shell was not only the last to down the thing (after multiple attempts no less), your first 3 kills weren't even solo (assuming you don't count the one where someone EES ganked the thing at 1% from eden...)

Even if we were the last to kill (it used to be a claim fest), we kill pretty quickly and effeciently. If Eden wants to degrade our accomplishments when they haven't even killed Vrtra and have trouble on Cerberus, then I will defend my shell and point out that Eden isn't perfect either.

No shell is perfect, your pointing out that you can kill cerberus quickly and efficiently means jack. 1 missed stun and guess what, your ass is in the floor just like them not only eating dirt, but your words (because like all of 10 mages outside of TG even stands out of gates range, and we ate dirt on it today too [ope apparently we got an algol today]) . ED hasn't killed vrtra either, and aside from the fact that watching them kill some things is like walking my grandmother cross the street I'd still put them over you in a heartbeat. Alternatively cog's killed everything under the sun and they still suck at it (and by it I mean everything under the sun). Every shell has a flaw or some lacking point (case in point: we've wiped to our last 5 vrtras below 3% and we have all of 4 KB and 1 aspid kill under our belts), if you're going to mock someone over something have it be something better than cerberus of all things. What's next, "wow you suck at hydra"... has anyone even touched that thing after we gave up on it?
