They just need to add in the "Shadow Crab" and be done with it. The mobs that drop the items to pop the Shadow Crab could be a rabbit, a worm, a crawler, a mandragora, a lizard, and a bee. (All of the old-school NMs near the starter cities.)

The rabbit, worm, crawler, mandragora, lizard, and bee could each drop a cooking ingredient used to synth the Shadow Crab's pop item.

Umbral Nectar (from bee)
Umbral Butter (from crawler)
Umbral Pepper (from lizard)
Umbral Leaves (from mandragora)
Umbral Marjoram (from rabbit)
Umbral Salt (from worm)
