Rule of thumb when it comes to disputing number claims on Wyrm kills:

If the number claimed is >= 26, you're a zerg LS and should be ashamed.
If the number claimed is < 26, you're a liar. Stop lying all the time.

yes we wiped to kirin trying to TP burn with our B team, bad sleepga while byakko was up = cu laters. i wasn't there for it, none of the main LS were. you also forget we set the standard for TP burn at 2:29 while everyone was starting the TP burn fad.

If you're not even smart enough to use Poison potions for TP burning Kirin, I doubt you "set the standard."

Need a new word for the level of owned Seditedi just put on Mr. Popadopolous here.

something is seriously wrong with your LS if your entire "A" team can be not online at the same time and your "B" team is allowed to go and wipe to a popped NM.

Lol, don't get me wrong, a spike flail is possibly the coolest thing to see in this game, I just dont get why people think its so unnavoidable on something like Vrtra. PLD/NINs kite, line up, SMNs BP without assaulting, and even if she summons, guess what? No TP. PLD/NINs blink most of the hits, SMNs dont assault therefore give no TP (lol @ Predator Claws being TPless) and there's no chance at a flail. Most of the time we get hit while kiting and flashing Vrtra, which usually never results in a flail, if anything the PLD is running and would probably outrun it.
Sloppy Vrtras = Spike Flails. Unnecessary Assaulting and melee = Spike Flail. Don't do either, and you're safe.

There's two problems which make Vrtra more prone to Flailing than other wyrms. First is the same movement which happens when drag a spider through Faffhogg, Vrtra summons to the exact same POS as itself, so it moves right after to make space, if the tank is within range there is a chance to flail, if they're not then Vrtra cuts a corner and eats the PLD. The second is charming. If the tank gets charmed and the mages are behind (cause they shouldn't be in breath range) then you may get a flail. Both are things which don't happen with other Wyrms.

Both take TP, reduce TP gain on a greater wyrm, and you basically reduce almost all means a Wyrm has of Spike flailing. No Vrtra doesnt have auto-TP regen like someone above stated, Jorm doesnt (although he will use multiple roars back to back) Ouryu doesnt, Tiamat doesnt. I've had a Tiamat where we blinked 99% of her hits, never cast a spell that gave TP, didnt assault, and had like 3 TP moves before 20%. All of the above reasons will still not result in a flail if the mob has no TP. Also mages dont have to be behind a mob in order to not get hit by breath, its just as safe being at a frontal 45 degree angle.

It isn't so much that she is going to flail on you every time, but game mechanics cause it to happen no matter what. She gets tp from auto-meditate and then she gets out of the way of her owns summons. It is kind of like dragging spiders across fafnir. You can get lucky and it never happen, but the closer she is to dying the more often she uses her tp AND the more often she summons and if you're are unprepared and do not have a straitigy for taking one and recovering you just wasted an afternoon.

You really can't have a strat for flailing on Vrtra when you have 24. You either don't flail, or you wipe, no recovery tanks, 1-2 WHM TOPs, you're simply not surviving it unless your tanks blink it and your BLMs dont get completely toasted by it. Again like I stated above, none of the greater wyrms have TP regen. (in that they don't obtain TP without hitting you or being hit like Fafnir does.) Yes at 20% all mobs use TP moves at 100% instead of storing the TP, but that just makes it a little riskier, not entirely unavoidable.

God knows the additional attack all those ridills would get from warcry would've turned the tide of the battle.

Whenever you're doing something like this, have a backup plan. It's not so necessarily hard to have someone kite Kirin while the rest of the melee whack a minigod should one be summoned. Nothing irks me more than Ulli stones going to waste like that :\

how many ppl u have in your LS 12?

we like to have 30+ active players so we can do dynamis that is efficient, 2 limbus runs every time soap is ready, not to mention be able to have ppl in all time zones so they can camp HNM reliably for items they want.

we like to be able to do bahamut or ouryu on a whim, we like to be able to farm sea or even sky when we want. that means day or night. need active members to do those things. not 6 ppl at a time with some saying "naw id rather exp"

its not a zerg LS its not a friends LS its a place you come to get the shit you want and it works pretty fucking good. we can do pop BCNMs which can hardly be called zerg and we can bring an army to claim things like Nidhogg or King Behemoth.

if you want to call it zerg caause we have 30 active members for scheduled events then there's something wrong with you.
