Best equip = DD-gear. Not quite sure where the above poster for 300dmg, they were talking sword skill. Vorpal is only slightly weaker than rampage...

Judging by your "holy shit" in LS chat, I'm going to assume that Vorpal was slightly higher than what you're used to.

Yeah, but also my DD gear on PLD at the time was: Hauby+1, macro in str+3 ring and Rajas ring. Other than that I was in full tank gear/AF and such. Might've equipped that acc/att+4 neck piece for it too. Even still, 899 ws on non-berserked mobs at level 65ish isn't common for any job except thf/war or rng really.

For some odd reason my Vorpals deal average less damage than my Swift Blades @_@ And I do have high accuracy (even eat sushi etc). Maybe I should try again with some new gear, any suggestions?

EDIT: I dont have Sword Merits nor Suppanomimi. Choose to pick Knight's Earring, since Shield Skill benefits me more on endgame

16 from capped merits
5 from Supponoimi
7 from Sea Torque

304 Total add a Headgehog Pie to that and that should be more than enough for any merit PT.

That number was including merits, I even said I was too lazy to merit sword because I meripo'd on NIN. I assumed some intellegent people who know that A+ base skill plus capped combat merits would be around 300. If you are gonna quote something quote the whole thing not a convient piece of it.

To new PLDs out there, SE has made it a thousand times easier to level PLD., with the combination of all the shield boosts and new merits. Keep letting the "allaPLDs bitch" as Tekki says, because he is right they are only making us more godly lmao.

Um basicly Acc setup should be something like this

Life Belt +10
Haub +10/+12 [+1]
Peacock Charm +10 / or sea torque

Without sword merits you will still probably have low acc just macro in O Hat for WS. I used to just melee in O Hat and eat meat with +40ish Acc from gear and did fine. (Pre ToAU Turban)

If you are a total career PLD then I would just go 8/4 - Sword/Shield combat skills setup and with some decent gear you can actually hold your own in a merit burn PT.

Also if you get the chance 4 PLD/NIN and 2 BRD in the Shrine is great EXP should have no problem clearing so fast you have to wait on repops. Uh everyone needs pretty good gear though.

Yeah I'm a career PLD. I didnt think of meriting Sword because I thought it wouldnt make a difference, but since I started playing around with PLD/NIN on merits I've been reconsidering (working on Shield atm).

For gear, I dont have a PCC as of now.

Neck - Chiv Chain.
Waist - I do use Life Belt and macro in Warwolf during WS. Should I change that? What about Potent Belt?
Rings - Snipers
Body - Hauby
Earring - Minuet Earring (+3 Acc)
These are my straight up +acc stuff. Rest, some gears have +dex (which helps acc too. Total of +9 Dex).

imo, any job that wants to eat meat in a merit party should either have PCC or the relevant jailer torque.
