It was hard to watch this episode after being trained so well by the writers to wait for the epiphany or revelation that creates the life-saving climax, but it was really great to watch Hugh Laurie flex his acting chops as much as he did. And, the best part is all of the wild speculation that will happen between weeks, because there's no way House will just jump right in to business as usual. He has to be phased back in, and that presents us with a lot of opportunities for story development.

This is why I love house, Everytime I think I can predict I can see whats coming, it completely shows you how wrong you was thinking then out of no where they shock you again

I didn't think it was better than season 4 opener where the building collapsed. That's still my favorite episode of House, and my overall favorite season of the show too.

Yeah, if you listen to the lyrics of No Surprises it was a pretty awesome song choice.

I was digging that and the New Order cover a bit further into the episode.

It's a shame that the facility arc only lasted two hours but they did a great job filling out the story very well. Andre Braugher and Franka Potente did well and it was cool to see them in the roles. Braugher is one of the few actors that can stand up to House or outwit him and make it believable. I liked Alvie as well. It was cool they manged to get Ana Lenchantin to stand around and do nothing before letting her finally play at the very end.

It'll be fun to watch how the 'no license' thing works out through the next episode or two. There were some interesting little snippets that popped up during the season preview.

Make a thread about Radiohead or a band like Radiohead and see what half the responses are. I actually liked No Surprises and was the first thing I commented on while watching it but I figured someone might make the joke eventually.

Lol, yeah, tell me about it. Half the posts would be "Thom is a genius" and the other half would be "all their shit sounds the same."

I really liked that song there, though.

I haven't seen any previews for the coming season, though. Are they just going to go back to normal or does it actually seem like he's going to have progress?

He always has progress. But most of what we know/love of House is not because of his leg or his vicodin, it's just who he is. It's been more and more obvious how much House cares for others as the show has gone on, I suspect this'll just be another step ahead on that. And to try and make that not seen he will act the complete opposite at times, heh.
